what a great boat for an owner operater + captain to undertake long range cruising....oh wait, nvm. this boat shouldn't have a fuel capacity of 1 liter less than 2000 gallons. 600....lovely boat that lacks the range it deserves. other than that seems an amazing vessel.

Any ideas what caused the failures. I have owned one steel boat and amount considering two others but this type of failure is surprising. Most of my boats have been aluminum and we leave them on the hard when we are not on them.

@@yachtlens On this size, no. A larger yacht then maybe. But we don't go to sea for the view. The best thing about a view is the actual light that is let in at night.

It's blowing 25 knots, rain mixed with sea spume, boat being tossed around like a rag doll in a pitt bull's mouth, and dark as death. I gotta poo! Dudes, you have got to have at least half a head in the pilot house. That is death on a stick to cross the no man's land between the pilot house and forward cabin. I love your boat but that is an egregious design error. It is very uncomfortable to go out there between the two shelters in the wind and rain. In fact, I consider it a no go.
@yachtlensКүн бұрын
She is meant for more intercoastal cruising and 25 knots is generally falling under small craft advisories...best not to be out unless in a larger vessel....Thanks for watching.

@@yachtlens Well I used to work off Ayr and Troon in the early 70s, long lines. Our boat engine failed off Ailsa Craig and there was a heavy swell and we were pushed into the cliff face of Ailsa Craig and the boat ( a converted Buckie scaffie rigging removed ) was smashed into so much drift wood. The skipper lost his life along with his brother, me and another hand survived. '''Never go to sea with one engine''.

It looks more like a ‘support’ yacht with all the toys! Well, and you walk off the deck and the laundry is right there… however, i would prefer a boat that can do all this than the equivalent ‘fancy’ boat with maybe a dinghy and jet ski in the same price range give or take 10m. Not like this one still wouldn’t have a full crew complement.

Good luck paying for all that with Spanish Gallion.. Damen has the better side of the trade by far..
@yachtlens14 күн бұрын
🤔 Interesting perspective. Well, the nice thing is Allen Explorations does not need to pay for this vessel by finding Spanish Galleon. Axis is first and foremost a support vessel to the entire Allen explorations fleet. She also supports, environmental projects, as well as humanitarian and educational endeavors in the Bahamas and Caribbean. In her spare time she searches for undersea treasure. Thanks for watching!
