@SwordOfRom3 Anno Domini 919 for Attila. I probably should have specified. But a submod for it called 819 or something along those lines. It uses the Grand Campaign map instead of Age of Charlemagne.

You did much better than I in my testing of the mod 😂I wanted public order to slow down the player but maybe it's too much tbh..I could combat this by putting some pre-built temples in the starting position for some of the provinces, among other small things. What're your thoughts??
@SwordOfRom314 күн бұрын
Well, I gotta say, it was quite a challenge to bring everything in order, but I very much enjoyed it ! Every little small scale skirmish against rebels had more weight and overall made every decision more important. It could have easily gone the other way and I could have lost a few seatlements, but it didn`t. I honestly enjoyed this part of the campaign a lot, we all know that the best parts of campaigns are the initial struggle/challenges. Steamrolling gets boring quite fast, at least for me. If you ask me, you should keep things the same on "hard" difficulty, but maybe give the regions some bonus public order due to "difficulty" ? I know thats something that can be done right ? In some mods when I check the public order tab, there are "+x / -x public order due to difficulty" so it can be done right ? I would go with that rather than adding temples in the regions. Let the player decide what road he/she wants to take :D.
@Pontifexum14 күн бұрын
@@SwordOfRom3 I believe you're right that I can adjust according to the difficulty. I also appreciate the thorough response! You're the first to test out the mod this in-depth as well as the first to make a video about it which means a lot. As part of my channels reforms, I will reduce some of the ongoing campaigns, in order to have a more tunnel vision on them & also to be able to publish different kind of content on it. This campaign didn`t make the cut unfortunately for a couple of reasons : 1. I`ve spoken with the modders, and in my save-game the 6.3 objective "Restorer of the WRE" will not trigger, and due to the fact that its an old save-file ( started the campaign right when the mod came out) it cannot be helped. 2 more seatlements would be needed for that objective, but I see it futile at this point in time. For me this campaign was a good one, but the real "struggle" is over, and its in the "steamrolling" phase & its very close to the end, so I`ve decided to leave this one be. In the next couple of months, a new campaign will start in this mod with the WRE, and that one will focus conquering/reconquering Africa as well, and the challenge will be greater than here, so stay tuned for that ! I apologize if me discontinuing this campaign leaves a sour taste with some of you. Roland B.

Real Combat 2.0 + BGR IV + SS6.4 for Medieval 2 You would be surprised how good combat is in that game. Unfortunately Multiplayer i can't find anyone to try with Real Combat 2.0

Hello friend. good game, and good battles, too. just a few small suggestions if I may: first: I don't think you can keep the city of Tunis, but whatever happens in there: I suggest that you move your two other armies back to Spain, and after you crush the rebels and the invading army there: I think the best choice is to concentrate on defeating your enemies in Europe, because you're fighting many enemies at many fronts, and also expanding in Europe will be easier than expanding in North Africa because your faction has the same religion as the other European factions, which will make it easier to stabilize the newly captured regions. second: I noticed that you don't invest much (or rather at all) at building schools, which explains why you research rate is very slow, which explains also why in your Trebizond campaign; you are at your 30 episode, and you still far away from getting the tier 2 units in the research tree: the problem is in your trebizond campaign: your enemies are starting to use tier 2 units, and soon: they will start using tier 3 units, so you need to keep up with them, or your armies will be outmatched in terms of quality of units, and if you want to accelerate the research rate: you need to invest heavily in building and upgrading schools in each and every city you have and in each and every city that you will conquer: after stabilizing the public order in each of your cities and when you have empty slots for new buildings in your cities: just put schools in there: shools gives you a solid amount of money: it's a good investment, actually right now: you have a lot of empty slots for new buildings and city squares that can be upgraded to schools in many of your cities: just build schools in there: it is always worthy to invest in education. and finally, good luck.

Thanks for the feedback, regarding the African campaign yes, I was thinking about what to do yesterday after I`ve finished filming this one and I`ve reached the same conclusion, there are too many things going on to hold Tunis at the moment, so its very likely I will fall backfor a while. I will look into your other suggestion regarding schools/research speed, it sounds like a good idea for sure. This is still only my 2nd campaign in 1212, so its mechanics are still slightly new to me :). Again, I appreciate your comment, have a nice weekend !

@SwordOfRom318 күн бұрын
It makes it more challenging if you ask me, and somewhat more realistic for the time-period if you consider the manpower of the Romans (mostly in the West though). But I can see why you would consider the recruiting a nightmare, its not for everybody & thats perfectly fine. Maybe a submod for faster recruitment would make the mod more accessible for more players.

So what did you think avout the mod? I found it fun and think everyone thats interested in the history should check this submod out. Okay the DEI Sulla mod is better polished, but I beat it very easy with Sulla, I'm doing this one again now because yeah I was careless with Sulla too. Anyway after this campaign I gonne do a DEI one, but one as Marius, and also start a Para Bellum Caesar in Gaul one as Rome offcouse. And Rise if the republic after that. Anyway let me, and the rest of us know your thoughts about this Para Bellum submod?
@SwordOfRom3Ай бұрын
I enjoyed playing both, although I played different factions (in DEI I played Pontus) ! the thing that stands out for me, and I think is great, is that in Para Bellum, you start a bit earlier in the timeframe, which means you still have some conquering to do in Greece / Asia Minor. I enjoyed that a lot tbh, and the Danubian Empire surprised me a lot with theyr aggressive & successful expansion.
