I think the most important lesson to be learned is that you should not use your armies as scouts: just use your agents like spies, priests and assassins for the scouting missions, or your armies risks to be isolated and terminated by the enemies armies. also a small suggestion: I suggest that you do not overdo the adopting because that will only hurt the loyalty of the royal family members (whether they are the original members or the adopted ones): every time you adopt a noble to the royal family: it drops the loyalty of the other family members : in your Castile campaign for this 1212 AD mod: you adopted everyone in the royal family which is not smart to say the least, because if your goal is to uncrease the influence of the royal family: that will backfire at you, because at higher level of strength: you will get huge debuffs for the public order and other things (just have a look at the balance of power: high control and influence will cause debuffs, low control and influence will cause debuffs, too. so it is better to keep things balanced with the most possible minimal debuffs. and good luck.

I truly don't understand how this is supposed to work. I have very negative income, then my cities get sacked and I need to rebuild them, with what money though? It is like a death spiral. Am I supposed to just give up on a bunch of my provinces? The Vanilla game isn't like this, Eastern Rome is rich in that and makes a ton of money each turn. I think the modders when a little too hard on this one.

Thanks for sharing this video. I tried the mod after watching you and I swear, when I saw in your first video how the Epeiros offered you peace, my jaw dropped. I have restarted the campaign 4 times and each time they never agreed to peace and always came crushing me with 2-3 stacks. I couldn’t get out of Rome for the life of me, couldn’t win at all. I think the mod is neat but the combat is just too difficult for me and way too damn long. I’ll just watch you play instead, thanks again.

does cav seem overpowered?

Its weird how the cav are so many in the unit it makes me fight battles different, I also dont win forming my armies like i did with regular rome 2 or Atilla with 2 spearmen 8 heavy inf 4 cav and 4 archers general and arty.. for some reason my inf gets it ass kicked even as rome any suggestions? on army compo?
