Preston Tucker's story is a parable about the fight against a corrupt system. 'Tucker: The Man and His Dream' shows how the big automakers and politics conspired to sink a revolutionary idea. A powerful and relevant film, reminding us of the importance of defending innovation and free enterprise. Coppola's direction makes it even more epic. #Tucker #TuckerTheManAndHisDream #Antitrust #Corruption #Industry #Politics #PoliticalFilms #FrancisFordCoppola #FreeEnterprise #Power

There were times when I was watching the West Wing that I almost believed Washington could work. I actually believed there were those that placed the good of the nation above the party or the individual. However, after the last several elections, I realize what a farce it all is. I think it’s safe to say that the “ Great experiment“ has ended in failure.

Great scene It shows Vinick is a wealth of knowledge but also shows Santos great political instincts. Arnie asks "I don't know how this would work" and Santos doesn't tell him. He just shows him. Great work!

Echoes of "The Supremes" where the two potential nominees for the Supreme Court are arguing, passionately but respectfully, and the Staff realizes that they need BOTH of them on the Court.

Colin Powell served under both Democrats and Republicans and became the secretary of state under Bush. Later he voted for a Democrat. Good people can be loyal, honest patriots with different partisan political views. Don't ask me what this current mess is you're dealing with.

If only politics could go back to that. Yes, i know its a show, but the idea of bipartisanship is still nice to dream about.

Older versions of two of my favourite actors Jimmy Smits as Victor Sifuentes from LA Law which I seem to remember also stared John Spencer, and Alan Alda as Benjamin Franklin Hawkeye Pierce from MASH

I always wondered who will be with Santos in the Sit Room. Leo was the rock when Bartlet was in the Sit Room and Bartlet always looked to Leo for decision. On most matters it was Bartlet following Leo's Leads. I always thought Josh was nowhere near Leo when it came to being someone who can run the Sit Room like Leo did but looks like Vinnick will be a power house in the Sit Room!
@DispaminiteАй бұрын
I don't think the Secretary of State is in the Situation room. It was usually the Secretary of Defense, Miles Hutchinson, for Barlett. Bartlet relied on Leo because Barlet didn't have the background to understand the military matters and trusted Leo to make decisions based on Bartlet's agenda. Santos has a military background and would have an understanding of the information being given to him that Bartlet didn't at the beginning.

In today's hostile clickbait headline ruled newscycle, this line stood out to me. "I'm not asking you to consider secretary of state, I'm asking you to do the job" What marvelous clarity. We need so much more of that.
