In this are followers breasts touching leaders chest ?

Hmmm It's relative. New dancers or people who aren't comfortable with proximity often stay close but not touching. More advanced dancers are usually body to body, as in their mind, they desexualized the context of dancing. Kind of like martial artist don't think about their adversary's parts when fighting, they are thinking about fighting. When you've been dancing long enough, at a certain level, with people you found attractive and a ton of people you didn't find attractive, you learn through that process to stay goal oriented (doing what's best for the dance) and disregard any alternative thoughts. So in the end, it doesn't matter if we are much younger or older, smaller of bigger, of any color, etc. We are all just bodies trying to create something beautiful together. Once at that point, contact is prioritized. In this specific video, yes, we are body to body. This is very goal oriented, as the follow is able to get a lot of information from her entire body to understand my intent. Bachata Sensual leads should learn good body movement, allowing them to lead more with their bodies and frame, and the least possible with their hands. This will in turn free their hands to allow more complex movement ideas to be communicated through both body and hands. It also helps dancers who are a bit rough (generally from manipulating their partners with their hands), to become more delicate, by leading less with their hands. For follows, it forces them to learn how to actually follow, instead of waiting for leads to 'force' moves into their bodies (which nobody likes once you know better.) When leading with the body, it's the lead's job to have good and clear body movement (anything you want her to do, you gotta be able to do it to communicate it), and it's the follow's job to keep the connection (body contact) enough so she feels any movement from the lead, even his breathing in some instances, so she can be perfectly in sync. So the lead focuses on moving well, and she focuses on following his movements. Hope this helps.

This is the information i had been dying to ask to my instructors..m but did not know how..... thank u so much for this clarity ! I feel this will take my dancing to next level ! Love you loads and need instructors like you in my country... (Although i have super amazing instructors as well !! ❤ @@DeeMcRoy

@@subhashatluri8840 Glad I could help! Don't feel shy or ashamed to ask questions to your instructors. They would normally do their best to help and would understand that not everything is clear, obvious, easy, etc in the beginning. They have been there too! If they have your progress at heart and have good dancing and teaching experience, they will take your questions seriously and do their best to answer, and ideally add in the 'how and why' when possible. If you're shy about a specific topic, ask your questions privately. Otherwise, the internet can be an alternative except not everyone is a trustworthy source of information, so in this case, the 'why' things are done a certain way is important, so that you can judge for yourself if the answer is valid or not. Like in this case, I explained why it's better in the long term to get comfortable to dance body to body when dancing bachata sensual in closed position, and how it's acceptable and occurs naturally in social dancing, once dancers have more experience. In any case, just never force your partner to connect more than she's comfortable with (respect is key, and it's not the leads roll to pull for connection). Overtime, people comfortable with body contact and prioritizing their dancing level will naturally gravitate towards each other, separating the passionate, driven, performing dancers, from the casual, social, once in a while type of dancers that are there for social reasons. Often, when getting into closed position, both dancers will easily be able to feel the motive of the other person. You cannot hide that. Not everyone is in there for the same reasons, but it's important that people can naturally find their own tribe in the jungle. Cheers.

@@DeeMcRoy I have been taking private lessons for 3 months now and have taken about 60 lessons in past 3 months (from 3 different instructors) .... however it seems one of my instructor is not teaching me this closed position sensual bachata. If i ask her directly to teach me these hips isolation in closed proximity would it sound creepy ? Should i be asking the instructor directly or wait until she teaches herself ?
@DeeMcRoy3 ай бұрын
@@subhashatluri8840 -It is possible that your instructor doesn't master these specific techniques and/or is able to follow them but not entirely sure how to teach how to lead or follow them. -It is also possible that your instructor feels like you have other movements/techniques to prioritise in your progression. -I created this move myself but it's pretty advanced. There is a lot of basics to be covered before getting to that point. (closed position, frame, good body movement, good body isolation, layers of movement, etc.) -I'm not sure if asking about a specific move to your instructor could come off as creepy (depends on her personality and your relationship, an the move itself I guess), but letting her know that you would want to learn more bachata sensual should be fine. -What could be creepy however would be jumping into bachata sensual and doing everything wrong, with possibly the wrong intentions, and the ladies will feel that. So it's crucial that you cover your bases and practice a lot, respect your partners, etc. -I explained how this move is done in the description of the video, so if the description doesn't make much sense yet, start there. ie: You cannot learn an advanced side wave technique without having a solid understanding of side waves in the first place. Which country are you from? Id' be curious to see dance videos from over there.

Cool moves and location :) Keep working at it, it’s not easy especially being in a smaller city but little by little you’ll get there. If possible try to get to Spain for a festival or something, I’ve seen the most improvement in my own sensual bachata dancing and same with friends who have spent an extended amount of time there learning and dancing
