What guitare does mr Fisk uses? Has a bit this flamenco sound, very good for Albeniz.

Disingenuous to reduce Spain to bullfighting. There are extremes in all human groups. (Such an extreme would be some Spaniards love it, but some others loathe that spectacle.) Being a fan of bullfighting is not requirement to being Spanish, as one can imagine. Such quips are unforgivable caricatures and beneath a scholar and artist such as yourself!

Wonderful master Fisk, but uncritically parroting here the myth of Al Andalus as a happy Arcadia. Ask the likes of Maimonides how open and tolerant the Moors were compared to the Christians of that age. Very much alike by modern-day parameters. But we should look at both as products of their times.

Christopher Parkening took lessons with Celedonio Romero and Andre Segovia. I love this style of playing. So difficult to master, yet is slows like a river of clear water.

One of my all time favorites on guitar is the Dei Tentos by the same composer, Henze, played by Julian Bream.

Holy Smoke! What a turn-on! Sexy composition, sexy man, sexy playing style!
Furious, out of breath, creaking with haste for the last train? Maybe there is technology there, there certainly is, but why? There is no music. Lobos already has very difficult phrases that require intelligent interpretation, so a game like Fiska makes it very difficult. I have no idea what this guitarist was talking about.

Aw God that is really beautiful!, I had the great pleasure of attending a concert he gave in the Opera House in Wexford a few years ago and meeting him. A lovely and humorous man, I was so sorry to hear of his passing, rest in peace dear Oscar. Gérard lacey in Ireland. Xxx.

Who is the first guitarist? He was excellent! He ripped thru Torre Bermeja! That is a phenomenal composition! I love it! What is the second piece? Chaconne BWV1004? What is the third piece? I remember Segovia playing it.

Grande Maestro! Mi ricordo un suo concerto con quartetto d’archi! Impressionante il suo fraseggio: quando gli archi cessavano, dalla sua chitarra pareva di sentirli ancora…

I love Eliot Fisk's playing, he is always giving it 110% and his technique is almost greater than what his guitar has to give. I haven't heard him live, but these videos are the next best thing.
