Got a red 25 94. Love it, only difference between them is the paint! Only trouble today is the problem of some one who can repair the powershift! It was great for all these years, but now it needs rebuild and no old time Case mechanics around! I guess it'll get sidelined for good and replaced by some green paint!

I was a local p and d driver in the 90's the truck I drove most of the time was a tandem axle Brigadier with a 6v92 silver Detroit with a 10 speed. The cab was small , I'm talking you could roll down the passenger side window with your seatbelt on. Our trucks had roof mounted a/c and p/s. I loved driving the Detroit around town. On two different occasions I ran the engine backwards; that happened get under trailers that were dropped too low. The engine would bog down while get under the low trailer and that was usually did it, that or the engine left idling at low idle for an extended time and not blowing the engine out before taking off. I have a partial hearing loss in my right ear from driving truck over the years. I have driven cabover trucks with 8v71 (318) that had a Jake brake (no cylinder selection just an on/off), now that was loud if you were taching 2000-2400 and you flipped the jake on. I'm still driving truck (37 years). I miss hearing the old Detroits.

Absolutely amazing sound man. I love the sound. I’ve been a subscriber of yours for a while now and I would actually love to hear more of this truck. Do you think you could please see if you could do a three or four hour ASMR video of you driving this truck through town and on the interstate and, use the brakes more because that’s my favorite part. Include engine start up. That’s my favorite. Stay safe man. I hope all is well with you and your family and have a blessed day.

Years ago there was a local trucking company that had international trucks with 238 yamahas. The truck cabs were 6 inches above the frame rails and you could see the straight pipes running under the cab and where the pipe’s turned up at the rear of cabs. Those drivers would slip in a little gas in the fuel to make the pipes glow. We lived on a road that had a slight pull going north. Those guys would come by loaded at night and you could see most of the exhaust system glowing red. It was quite where we lived, so when you heard one coming you looked out the window and flipped off the light switch to see them go by. Funny how people amazed themselves in the 60 and 70s. 😂 Kind of miss stuff like that now.
