It's northwest of Tokyo/Yokohama in Gunma Prefecture, by about three hours drive. The place where we stayed is called Nozomi-no-Mura, there is also Karuizawa KR Center. Both are Christian camps that offer super-cheap log-cabin stays. The beginning of November is best for the momoji Japanese red-maple leaves. The town is known for its rich Christian heritage also.
