Pretty common church type of festival where I grew up in Eastern Pa. Have you had the food. That is always a big draw. Enjoy! Greek songs of lamentation for a lover. Romance, lost love, etc. And, the circle dances, of course!

Just tan across your video yesterday and found the 2005 posting by Steve Hoffman. Listened to a Michael Fremer vid covering two Rolling Stones mono pressings (OG & repress) where he mentioned the Y-connectors you demoed. I’m busy yesterday & today pulling out mono pressings while waiting for the Y-connectors to arrive tomorrow via Amazon. I’m excited to give a try using my vintage Pioneer PL-630. Thank you for your helpful video so now I can rediscover my mono LPs and 45s,

@@ArthurJS123 - lots of opinions and some not so nice. Hang in there! Plus you saved me a lot of money. The AT33 mono cart is $299 and the Hana SL mono is around $700. Now I will swap RCA cables which is a heck of a lot easier the mounting a cart.

An interesting time. We have a guy up here, I believe in his late 70s who does a nostalgia show on Friday afternoon on the Classical Public Radio station, he usually begins his show in the '20s and ends in the '70s. Been doing it for years. Has some collection he draws from. This sounds like a pretty clean recording for that time?

lol! I do believe this should work. I have a tube stage Headphone amp that can also function as a tube buffer pre-amp. Surprising! I remember when we where in High School, a friend of mine (who had one of those unfolding speaker box stereo record players) buying a better set of speakers from an Unclaimed Salvage and Freight store. We hooked them up to the cheap plastic record player and WOW, the sound improved noticeably. Speakers do make a difference. So DO tube buffers. A good way to improve your sound on the cheap.

People shouldn't knock these tube buffer/preamps unless they try them first. I use an Aiyima T7 ahead of my headphone amp. Wonderful sound with adapter rolled 12ax7lps Sovtek tubes.

Agreed, but in this case, as well as the KLH Model 21 I showed recently on my channel, there are many more variables at play. Adds up to a good sounding set.

Very nice. Interesting how they used to frame these pieces with furniture grade cabinetry. It was a different time. My parents had an old GE, maybe-not sure, radio-mostly plastic but it had a very nice warm full sound. I used to listen to the hits from NYC stations on that. Radios were king back in the early sixties. I had a Ten Transistor AM pocket radio with that awful plastic ear piece back then, one of my favorite things-took a 9 volt battery. That and my Funk & Wagnalls supermarket bought Encyclopedia, some Sci-Fi paperbacks, Dictionary, Almanacs, etc., kept me busy during my elementary school years (1959-66) as we watched the space race take off. Our eyes were on the stars! But the music was revolutionary, something new every day. OMG the music!

Yeah, this one is real maple. The diagram on the front next to the “solid state” embossment is the schematic symbol for a transistor, still very new at the time.

More than that. Also has amazing clarity, detail, and resonance. The transistors used, the maple cabinet, and the speaker also play important roles.

I bought a pair of the older black metal pair of Realistic Minimus 7’s back in 1990. I used them as the second set attached to a new at the time, JVC receiver. They’re great little speakers. 🤓👍
