Thanks for posting this. I skied this run once 28 years ago. Wont ever forget it. I used the rope and the tree roots to enter. More trees blocking the entrace back then.

Thank you for posting this in April 2024. About 25-30 years ago I went to Snowbird during a storm that closed the canyon and stayed at the big hotel for 7 days. I think it was called the Cliff Lodge. On Day 1 we met up with a guide who took us to this chute on the first run. Except, back then there was no rope and a few more trees around the entrance. We entered a little further down to left and swung in hanging on to exposed tree roots. I had never entered a slope like that before, or since. Just one of the great memories of an epic trip to Snowbird. Every serious skier should go there at least once. Greatest snow on earth!

Nice videos. Put your straps on the other way. Hand to the sky and then down on the grip. Putting the hand in and onto the grip is leverage for skier's thumb. Hand to sky up and through the straps and then down on grip means if you fall you hand lets go of the grip and the strap dangles instead of your thumb being trapped. Shocked no one has showed you this ... kzbin.info/www/bejne/iILVd598bc14rK8 good luck in your skiing journey.

Lol almost got cliffed out in that area earlier in the season when snow levels were lower. That chute was just straight rock and I had no clue where to go. Luckily I managed to find a path out on far skiers right but I definitely need to go back with someone who knows that area to get a better sense of how to navigate it. Just been skiing Glory days instead to stay on the safe side.

@@ski-n-ian Man same, I was skiing solo on a Thursday so there wasn’t a soul in sight, I had no clue if it was like “a little rocky” or “30 feet mandatory air”. Definitely had a sigh of relief when I managed to find my way out. I’m curious if there’s an easier way out far skiers left, looks like it on the map. But some really nice powder skiing in there for sure!
