Still using the hydra lift? Any tips that you would share are appreciated!

@svardell9710 I've sold that rv, and the lift.

I’m on my first trip with our Hydra Lift, carrying a Harley Ultra Limited. A friend recommended that I add tie-downs wrapped around the wheels and the ramp “Just in case”. Well I had a tie down failure and the wraps around the wheels are the only thing that kept us from loosing the motorcycle.

Why not just use the brackets built into the bike?
@winginitwithjohn84516 ай бұрын
The factory handles are not the right diameter or shape for a bungee hook to connect easily, and on the early dct (2018) that handle sits low to the seat.

@@winginitwithjohn8451I went with 15 for tonight and will check in the morning. Spartan did tell me 20 as I found my notes on what they said. Seems pretty strong at 15. I will post here when I see if it holds. I replaced the front right seal and hub cap. Not the chrome outer but the hubcap that holds the 80w. Cummins screwed mine up. Are you going to Quartzsite

did you do a video on running the wire from the roof to the batteries
@winginitwithjohn845111 ай бұрын
I used the factory installed "solar prep" initially, so no video of that. A few months on the road I had problems with the factory installed cable, turned out it had a staple shorting it. I ran new wire through the same port access, through an interior wall into basement to the circuit breaker I installed. No issues since. Prepped for solar is the only thing I didn't check initially. Lesson learned.

Does this just work for the big motor homes? Are will it work for a 35 foot sea class? 4 wheel drive motor home, please comment back. Yeah, let me know, thank you.
@winginitwithjohn845111 ай бұрын
This lift is designed for class A motor homes. I installed it myself, and imo, it would be too much for a class C. The frame and chassis structure would be the issue on a class C. A tg axle would also be my recommendation, as the weight of a large motorcycle plus lift is more than a 1k lbs.
@rickbumeter6946 Жыл бұрын
May I asked if welding was required for your application? I have an ‘07 Country Coach and wondering if this Hydralift brand universally bolts to Class A frames or require custom welding. Thanks for the video and your time.

No welding required. Bolts along side chassis frame rails. Mine is for sale, $3k.

Thinking about a 369. Any regrets with your 369?
@winginitwithjohn8451 Жыл бұрын
No regrets. The 369s up to early 2020 are the floor plan and slide configuration of mine. By mid 2020 they moved the bedroom slide to camp side, turned the bed east west, moved the washer dryer connections to the bedroom closet, which was moved into the front nose. I didn't want that added weight on my truck, so I bought this early 2020 built 369 before that changed. Pre covid is a bigger concern for me. No shortages of ac units, generators, etc. Anything else I can answer, just ask. It's a great floorplan.

My favorite motorcycle mounted to one of the best motor coaches there is! Gee, you’re blessed! One suggestion, don’t cover your bike to avoid the diesel soot! A friend of mine did that for his 2014 Goldwing and the wind buffeting ruined his paint.
