Love yo course and explanations. But rather watch from you pushing and explaining after reaching 1900 than crushing 100 elos
@gmraven2 күн бұрын
people have commented this a bunch. ill finish this speedrun as is but future ones ill start at 400 or 500

You could make it more entertaining with queen sacs though. This is tough to watch.

Games get more interesting at the 2-300 range, feel free to join us on day 4 or 5.
@Dakodi_2 күн бұрын
I actually like the solid play. It’s very educational and easy to follow. Learned a few new tips already. And his tactics are still entertaining!
@jeecreative2 күн бұрын
A nearly 3000 rated GM against 100 elo's :D Yeh, I think things would go pretty smoothly haha. Like a prime Mike Tyson vs a senile 80 year old lady shouting "It's time too go" after landing thunderous body blows!

Lol!

Really happy you’re doing this speedrun.. if your patience runs thin with the rapid games maybe switch to 3 min blitz to see you navigate as many middlegame positions as possible?
@gmraven2 күн бұрын
Thanks! And yeah the games get more balanced in a few days. Hang in there! At 300 people start playing legitimate openings

Don't have the time atm! I'm finishing bird course, making edits for another, and making an entirely new on around a black repertoire. Also the youtube. I plan to play seriously in mid 2025 when my schedule frees up
@rudisimon1992 күн бұрын
I understand that he is a gm and I respect him, but why he thinking and making tactics against a 100?
@gmraven2 күн бұрын
Why not 😀

Against Yoo I saw a worse move but that still wins. Pawn to f7 forking king and rook 🐦⬛
@gmraven2 күн бұрын
That could have worked!

“Will they play the Froms gambit?”, no ofc not. They don’t know what an opening is. Please remember that these may be children or differently abled. Btw see you when you around 600. I’m gonna give you a run for your money. And my queen.
@gmraven2 күн бұрын
Lol we'll see about that!

This is fun but I'd recommend starting at 400, 600 or even 800 :D Kudos on the language plans. I'm learning Vietnamese which is pretty hard since there's no vocabulary basis compared to European languages and pronouncing things is really hard.
@gmraven2 күн бұрын
Vietnamese is a tough one! Yes, for future speedruns I'm starting at 300. Around there people start playing coherent openings.

Yes, you will find many interesting games at this level. You may wish to consider moving to 5 minute games for the first few hundred points, as the moves will pretty much be the same.

Can we think of Birds as a reversed Leningrad?
@gmraven2 күн бұрын
no, the leningrad is the reverse bird
@PatzersOpeningRulzКүн бұрын
@@gmraven 😄....No, seriously, the reason I'm asking is bc, when black plays the Sicilian, this is how I play it: e4 c5 d3, then I go g3, Bg2, f4, Nf3, 0-0 and so on. I'm currently studying the Leningrad Dutch Simpified, by GM Neiksans, and so I wanted to play a Leningrad Dutch in reversed.
