Just picked up this fan!! Got the deal at home depot, purchase the 18V Lithium Starter Kit (4Ah Battery 2Ah and Charger) for $99.99 and got the Whisper fan for free. Where heading to Loudon NH Tomorrow morning with our old Lance Legend 880 Truck Camper (boon docking) and need a fan for over night trying to sleep. Got the Batteries charging now. Great job on the review!!

I was told this unit is not pure sine wave. Just a clean sine wave with a below 3% DHT. Can you confirm? Im struggling to find info on it.

Can you just top off the gas while its running?
@ExpeditionLightbulb

Not advisable. It’s like topping off your gas while your car is running but this is a lot more dangerous.

Not even nearly a test! The infographic you showed implies that the fans push heat to the far side of the room. They don’t. You’d struggle to detect any kind of breeze from as little as a couple of feet away. These things are interesting, but useless at heating a room any more effectively than a wood burner without a fan.

Do you think I could use this for a small 25 watt practice bass amp at low volume? I would like to take a acoustic/electric ukelele bass camping. Thank you!
@ExpeditionLightbulb

The 150 is modified sinewave and from what I know modified sinewave distorts amplifiers. I would go with the Jackery 300 or the Goal Zero 200x

This is just what is needed for partial rv backup. Operates the ac and stuff perfectly. kzbin.infoUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y is quieter than my rv generator. Only suggestion is that it needs a fuel shutoff valve. So it is easier to store.

Can it be plugged into 110, and automatically switch to battery power if 110 is lost?
@ExpeditionLightbulb
@ExpeditionLightbulb 9 ай бұрын
Yes it can be plugged into 110, but it doesn’t switch automatically. You have to remove the plug first so you can attach the battery.

Liked it originally but will not charge at more than 30W on a 12V ACC outlet. This is a serious deviation from the 60W claimed and support just gives me the run around when I ask if something is wrong with it. Same ACC powers 45W fridge or 100W heater just fine so not my ACC outlets. They’re rated at 180W. So if I’m running my fridge through it while driving it STILL discharges even though it should be charging at 60W.

🤔. The biggest liability I see is the NMC chemistry. This chemistry is subject to “thermal runaway”.. Yes it has a high power to weight ratio, but at the expense of safety and greatly reduced cycle life compared to LFP chemistry. I would not have this in a building, boat or RV. The car carrier that just was destroyed off the coast of the Netherlands was transporting 400 EV’s with this chemistry. Once the thermal run away begins the fire fighting technique is to “let it burn” and protect adjacent structures. Water makes the fire worse. Safety involves probable risk analysis: probability vs consequences. Roll the dice and understand/accept the consequences.😎

Me and my wife live full time in a RV 30' Forest River 274RK. We have 2 generators in parallel.. We have full on support with just running one! We only run both generators when using our 15K btu AC unit (we have a soft start installed)! I ran them for 9 months straight. I had to service 1 of them for surging wich required carb service.. Other than that Ryobi did a great job on these units...

I’m sorry I had to point this out. You said this fan is geared towards construction workers but then said you didn’t like that the fan starts on 3 for those who might be in a noise sensitive environment lol well this fan isn’t made for office workers, I’d say 75-90% of people are going to be using this fan full blast on high. Which is the first setting, thus eliminating constantly bypassing speed 1 and 2 to get the speed we know we all want, speed 3.

I have a Champion dual fuel generator that runs on propane or gas it is large but portable on wheels. You do love ryobi. I have addapted a charger so I can charge the 18v directly from solar. It's nice that you have a radio, but where is the weather radio? I'd recommend a small weather radio that has solar and hand crank power.

The best point. I just said this a few days ago. & now I'm running into this video. First let me say great video. 👍🏼 Speak your truth . Everyone have different experiences which is not good. Back to the best point, I do not feel like these units should have wifi connection. If the grid gets hacked these units can be hacked too. Bluetooth i can deal with. I understand updating but they should be good checked and properly running off the line. Quality control should be a must. These units are expensive. I have the pro, max, delta 2, & wave 2 & i have to babysit these things sometimes calibration & all. & i love them but i don't feel confident enough these units will work in the end when everything else fails. Idk yet. 🤷🏽‍♂️
