This was so lovely to watch. Cindy is my cousin. Her Dad and my Dad were first cousins and friends. I just saw that Columbo movie the other night from 1990 Uneasy Lies the Crown that had her triple horse sculpture at the end at Santa Anita Park.

When I was an older teenager I took a boat trip with my cousins to silver springs. We left from Toms Fish Camp in Montverde on lake Apopka. A wonderful all day ride through locks and lakes. We arrived at the springs late but found a camp site below the main springs. The next day we went exploring, following a worn trail through the woods. We came upon a large group of abandoned buildings. Upon entering the largest we were amazed to find a large room with photo murals of smiling African Americans waving from a glass bottom boat. We left immediately since we felt like intruders. After pulling away from our "campsite" we saw posted signs on the cypress trees. What we had discovered was the ruins of Paradise Park.

I attended her presentation at the Appleton Museum yesterday and found it to be very enlightening. Her photographs follow a well-established tradition of fine arts photography. Each photograph is very introspective and many are delightful.

Some curators are not to par with marketing or the high standards many have come to expect from content. Also jadeite is fragile depending on the piece or the age ? They are not wrong to not touch $ the risk is still high and depending on the insurance company or owner they follow the terms and conditions ?

It's a shame I missed this informative talk a couple of years ago, I would have asked a question! Well done to Angelina. Her presentation was great. Thank you very much for keeping the talk alive here✨ As an aside, my mother had a couple of Mucha prints (which sadly faded and now gone) on board, which I was always fascinated by when I was younger. A few years ago, I went to see a big Mucha exhibition in London, which was brill! Seeing the complex posters up close was spectacular! I also, very pleasantly bumped into an extremely tender, quiet and contemplative torso to head oil painting (which was a surprise) by Mucha of a young girl laid down wearing traditional folk costume, that was in a Sofia (Bulgaria) art gallery. I treasure my photo of that piece. And lastly, I am very happy to say that I am lucky to own my own piece of Art Nouveau history currently, which is a lithograph print of Sarah Bernhardt c1901 by the french artist Paul Berthon, which was once the possession of a very famous celebrity in the UK. So there you go. Keep Mucha in our memories, I say! All the best 🇬🇧

If you do another of these, please have the camera close enough to see the painting. Your “make sures” aren’t useful if we can’t see what you’re doing.
