My biggest problem has been finding any new MOTU origins to buy in stores. The Wal-Mart in my town doesn't even carry them. They do keep the current WWE line with the Origins style bodies. But that's it. If you don't want the wrestlers or need them for customs, you're totally out of luck. And having to order anything online is a pain to me.

@MakeShapeCreate this store doesn't have them on the modular set and almost seems to have a sign that says "F U MOTU nerds!" The first year of the Origins line Wal-Mart had the line as an exclusive. This store never got that wave until the year after. They of course didn't sell and went to clearance. Because everyone that wanted them had already bought them in the previous year. After that, nothing. They had a bit of the MOTWWEU stuff for a while and dumped that too. Then just recently we got the WWE wrestlers. Again a year or two after that line started. We still have none of the TOTU line either. I have to make a trip of at least a half an hour drive to find a store that carries them. And they are generally sold out due to resellers.

@MakeShapeCreate every year they start to reset the modular sets for toys after Christmas and clearance what they are not going to sell anymore. Every year I'm Charlie Brown and Wal-Mart is Lucy. And every year the football gets yanked further and further out of reach and I fall just a little harder. Other than that, nothing changes with this store.

Yeah I've never had a good experience with any of the Gorilla glue stuff, except for the actual original gorilla glue that's meant for wood. The kind that you have to dampen the surfaces you are gluing a bit and then it expands to fill the gap and lock it. I have tried their super glues. The liquid and the gap fill take too long to set and break easy. The brush on was nice, until the bottle set up hard as a rock about 2 days after I first opened it. And the bottle was closed. It that has also been my experience with any of the brush on CA. I usually buy Loctite liquid and use that.

I've seen you dye parts, But with ''Battle Cat Man'' you painted the body with green paint ? it's been a year, Has paint flaked off from moving articulation points ? I assume that would happen, and that being the reason why you dye parts ? Or do you do paint touch up on some of your painted custom parts ?

That is why I dye them when ever possible! I don’t move mine a bunch so the do pretty good and I try to clear coat them for extra protection

I had a go at figure casting a few years ago, I was successful at casting heads but couldn’t achieve a full body. Sadly i quit and sold all the kit I’d accumulated. But I’m pleased you got a full body

Nice, it’s a big improvement for something so quickly done. I removed all the black from a scare glow body for a custom, using nail polish remover too.. it eats Mattel paint no problem doesn’t it?! 😊

This turned out great! Few things: Two part molds would have made this far easier. Use wax to create funnelss for air to escape when pouring the resin. Vacuum chamber is 100% worth grabbing. That being said this turned out WAY better than i expected. Helkuva job!

Great job! Too good in fact.. Now I’m going to have to try and get that head! 😅 Did you just paint the eyes with a brush? Try using a ball stylus (embossing tool). Perfect dots of equal size every time. Great for adding a little white dot of highlight too. This is perfect, I can stop looking at the lord of power set now as this would be the only figure from it, I’d like. 👍👍

To dye a figure (with Rit dye) What temperature ? and how long ? I've heard figures can melt or get warped if too hot ? I want to dye a second copy of Classics Skeletor all black (except the head) then paint blood all over (just an idea after seeing He-Bro had make Skeletor in all black armor, he said not to paint or it will get scuffed off at all the articulation points when moving it, any advice would help. Great figure customs !!!

My hot plate doesn’t have temps, you can warp them if you get them too hot. Iwouldn’t go past 210 for too long! I’ve never done that dying them, I have when adding Super Sculpty! Dying the chest or hips take longer than the arms and legs! The arms and legs, 5-30 minutes, the chest 15-60! You o would check the color ever few minutes

Man, I love translucent figures. I have a origins, slime pit he-man, made from a turtles of gray skull mutated Moss man. Using a classic slime pit he-man head. But I would love to have a head that matches the color of the buck perfectly. Your figure came out great❤

I'd love to see you do a classics figure! I've been customizing them for years and have been wanting to do a fully casted figure, but I can't figure out certain parts and don't want to break the figures... I have a feeling it'll be 10x way more difficult than an Origins figure.

I think they’d only be hard because only the heads are meant to come off them! Plus they are EXPENSIVE to then destroy
