Dude........big fan of the series........but, I'm not gonna lie......... I was HIGHLY anticipating this one, but was SUPER disappointed. No mention at all of Eddie And The Cruisers, The Outsiders, The Big Chill..... Didn't National Lampoon's Vacation come out in 1983? I think cult classic The Legend Of Billie Jean came out that year too! This was a pivotal year in my childhood!

I remember that moment when Sinead O’Connor tore up the Pope picture. I was more confused than anything else. Yeah Johnny Carson stepping down was an emotional moment. Jay Leno was good but I agree Letterman is more respected. The Dream Team was so fun to watch.

Good point about Sinead tearing up the Pope picture. When we were kids, it was like, "why is she tearing up that picture, and why is it such a big deal to everyone"? Now, as an adult, you can comprehend the symbolism and statement it made.

I always wished I had gone to camp somewhere growing up but I was painfully shy up until my late teens so I probably wouldn't have hooked up with any girls or anything anyway, lol! YES!!!!! Julie Warner was SO gorgeous in that movie!!!! Such a great cast!!!! Alan Arkin killed it as Uncle Lou!!!! @@The80sand90sOverlooked I agree it doesn’t bring anything new to the table in Buddy cop movies. Jay Leno isn’t an actor but I didn’t mind him in the role. I liked Pat Morita. The cringe scene was when the one cop was interrogating Morita and using Japanese slang terms. It wasn’t the worst movie but they obviously suffered from firing the director and not having enough money to finish the movie properly. I’d give it 2 1/2 stars out of 5.

We didn't know who Indiana Jones was. So it was better to called it "Raiders of the Lost Ark." Who knows? What if it bombed? Straight to UHF! Anyway, it didn't bomb and we saw it over and over again. "Chariots of Fire" them was composed by Greek musician Vangelis, who also did the score for Blade Runner. It turned out all the good lines in "On Golden Pond" were in the movie's trailer, which theaters ran ad nauseam. I saw it as a n adult and I can't tell you how much I want my two hours back. Best line, On Golden Pond, "Care to dance? Or would you rather just suck face?" Should be in the trailer, should be on KZbin.
