Well, as far as I know there is an Italian anthology series and a German one, but I don't know if there are other languages as well. The Italian version: amzn.to/3B7GFIm The German version: amzn.to/3ZxT5U1

@astrocohorsclub2 ай бұрын
In Germany they are called "Gastarbeiter". 😁
@astrocohorsclub2 ай бұрын
And fun fact: the kangaroo is still in the park as part of an animatronic band called the "Jingle-Jangle-Jungle Boys". We also learn that his name is "Tim Trumpet". But the kangaroo has a pouch, so it must be a female.

How many times has this ride change? I know it just reopened after a months long renovation.
@astrocohorsclub2 ай бұрын
You can't count them really, because the ride was constantly changed. The first change was renaming the castle from "Castillo Leone" to "Medici", then the new elevator scene, then the attic scene was changed, then a new elevator scene, then a new scene in the queue, then the "Happy Family" was moved into the castle, then the characters from the "Spook Me" musical, then the attic was changed again... and now the complete change. And I'm pretty sure I missed some changes.

This was a fantastic video! I enjoy the Johan and Peewit stories by Peyo, but they are hard to find here in America. I also enjoy Disney's The Black Cauldron [the original Chronicles of Prydain books the film are based on are good, but often mean spirited towards Taran, and Eilonwy is a lot meaner], and there were sequel comics released in France's Le Journal De Mickey comic books. I've been trying to find out more information about them.

1:54 Actually, there's a 3rd exclave in Africa. The small island (now "peñón") of Velez de la Gomera united to Africa after an earthquake centuries ago. It is the shortest stretch of border iin the world, with less than 100 meters! There's only a small military base on there. On the border with France there's another exclave and an island that changes from Spain to France every 6 months, but that's another story. That's it, hope you enjoyed my small piece of pendantry/fun fact of the day. Oh, and thanks a lot for talking about our beloved Mortadelo and Filemón! :D PD: slight correction. Mortadelo ens with an O, while you're pronouncing it with an A. Basically you went the whole video calling him the name of a type of cold meat jajajja. The name's difficult to pronounce for non-Spanish speakers, don't worry much about it :)

Thank you and you're welcome. Maybe you can explain what the punch line of this gag at 15:38 with the glasses and the mule is in the original language?
@pizzaipinya24425 ай бұрын
@@astrocohorsclub the first that comes to my mind is that Ibáñez might be playing with a Spanish word for glasses "lentes" (although in Spain it's more common to use "gafas") and the Spanish word for slow "lentas". So Mort brought Phil a mule cause he thought he was asking for something slow, instead of new glasses.
@astrocohorsclub5 ай бұрын
@@pizzaipinya2442 Thank you. As you might have seen, I'm reading from the German version and they have to make it very convoluted to even have a gag: Phil says: "Buy me a new Nasenfahrrad (= literally "nose bicycle", a German slang word for glasses)." Mort only gets the "bicycle" part, brings a mule and says: "I didn't find a Drahtsesel, so I brought a real one." "Drahtesel" is another German slang word, literally "wire mule", meaning "bicycle".

Greetings from America, great overview on the rich history of Disney comics in the European market. It's genuinely sad they have yet to ever rebound popularity in America. Most people scoff at most Disney characters not having "real personalities" despite a whole number of Generation of readers do know there is!
@astrocohorsclub8 ай бұрын
Oh yes, indeed. For European readers Mickey Mouse is more of a detective, that's why there was an outcry when Disney demanded that Mickey had to wear his "classic" outfit (red shorts) world wide when he was knowing for being dressed in a trench coat in Europe.

I enjoyed this review of this Tntin animated adventure. I agree a whole 100%. It is a solid animation adventure that is well written, well directed, and the voice acting and animation are both top notch. It combines action and humor very effectively. I first saw this film on a French speaking Canadian station and although there were no subtitles, I actually enjoyed this film as I am an avid admirer of animated films, shorts and TV shows. I have this film on DVD and a two parter, which came before this film, alongside Speilberg's film. I am hoping to get more of Tintin on DVD in the near future. Also, the 1980's new wave synthpop trio; "Thompson Twins", got their name from the nearly identical looking Thompson and Thomson, who are characters in the stories of Tintin. By the way, there were also two live action feature films released in between the animated features, which are "Tintin and the Golden Fleece (Tintin et le Mystère de la Toison d'or) from 1961 and Tintin and the Blue Oranges (Tintin et les Oranges bleues) from 1964. I subscribed and also, signed up for notifications. I'm looking forward to more of your review videos.

I've been hearing this series these last days while I continue to give details to my attempt of reconstruction of Dante Ferretti's model of the whole abbey. Congratulations. I really enjoy your remarks. I have a couple of things that come to my mind that I'd like to mention. The first: near the end of the third episode, you mentioned you would report on the scenes that were cut out by editors from the film, but if it was indeed discussed, I'm afraid I missed it. And the second: I always remembered how it was mentioned and discussed that Eco was likely to be influenced to write about "poisoning a priest" after the controversial, sudden and suspicious death of Pope Joan Paul I in 1978. It would be really interesting to know your thoughts on this matter.
@astrocohorsclub Жыл бұрын
Oof... You got me there. I had to shorten some episodes and this is completely gone. The scences that have been cut, are Adso and the Girl having s*** (the scene is quite long, it was drastically shortened in some countries), Ubertin's escape hidden in a barrel (not everywhere, but in some countries) and the burning of Remigio (also not everywhere, but in some countries). As for the speculation about Pope John Paul I.: The timeline doesn't match. Eco says, he was throwing ideas around since the beginning of 1978. At that time John Paul I. was still known as Albino Luciani and Paul VI. was Pontifex.

Such an amazing book and screen adaptations. My mother introduced me to the movie when I was young, and I read the book shortly afterwards. It was undoubtedly a cruel world that the novels central characters lived in, and yet, they were able to able to find the small amounts of beauty that were intended to be forbidden to them. Whether it be knowledge, or love. Great video!

Very nice to see Someones view about (in my opinion) one of the best Belgian musical creation. I’ve seen the 2001 and the 2007 version live in The Theatre. I still rewatch The recording of this show. I think this show has big potential for the international audience. I hope there will be an attempt to bring this musical back to Belgium. Some Nice to know facts about the production: - in The library of Bergamot there was originally A song (The Waltz of The professors), A duet between zonnebloem and bergamot. But is was deletetet after A few performances. - The first idea for The tintin production was to make A musical version of The secret of The unicorn. - they made plans to play in London, Montréal and Genève. But they never made it. - after The Charleroi production, they plannend A Paris version. All was arranged (Castalbum, promotional campaign etc.) but they canceld it last minute. Not clear why. In The Paris version the music is arranged completly different (more French style) The 2007 version is different from The 2001 version in A various of points: - The Six crystal balls were not in scène. It was relaplaced by A digital projection with images from The comics with in between dialogues between tintin, haddock and tournesol. You only heard The voice of The great Inca, and it was lip syncd by the Fortune teller from The previous scene, like it was that she was haunted by the Inca. This choice of changing make it less spectacular than The balls in the 2001 version, but it makes more sense why tintin Will visit bergamot - The song in The hospital sung by the little girl is adapted. The song is stil The same, but made shorter and with an extra song for tintin where hé promised the girl to make her Father better. This change was already forseen fo thé paris version in 2003 (canceled) - The little Funny scènes in The snow with haddock are cleared out of the 2007 version and replaced by digital projection of images of The comics where you can see The spectacular train scene from The comics. Altough, they kept The condor scene, (Which is stunning!!!) - The real water in 2001 version is replaced by A digital projection of water in The 2007 version. (Which is An immensive downgrade, but more Cheaper and les difficult to arrange on The scene) - The song in The Jail by haddock is changed by the same song but the reworked to A duet with tintin. The last time this musical played here in belgium was 2008 and I really hope they make an attempt to bring this back.
