Half of those cars look like they took a wrong turn and ended up on the track without knowing. V8 sounding good

Yup...not sure why some folks choose to race some of those cars. But I love the fact that they try. Best part about the V8 is the snap crackle pop on decel ;-)

We haven't weighed the car since we swapped to the Carb setup. But prior to that with a full fuel load and with 215 pounds of rat in the car it weighs 2828 pounds. The EFI had that stupid two part manifold, the wiring harness, the ECU, etc that we ditched. So my guess is the car is 2800 now. If we ditched the stock hood for a race hood I think we could have the car down to 2700, but that's not very legal XD

We blew the tailshaft seal out of the car on day one, it was suffering from that and eventually gave it up during this stint.

what year of c4 was this? how much do you think the carbed 350 is putting out for hp? are you on favtory z51 springs and shocks?

It started out life as a 1984. How much power? Honestly I don't know, we have not had it to the dyno since we did the swap. Factory springs, KYB shocks, FAlken 615 tires. ;-)

Stock ones! 1984. The kit is not supposed to fit that year but as you can see it fits fine. Expensive? Perhaps, but putting new bearings in the car every 6 hours or so of track time is hardly cheap!

Some people are shocked we have never had an issue! Fresh oil and regular rebuilds seem to work just fine.

Having the wheels sticking out a smidge further isn't a bad thing, even better if it's because of better bearings. Good excuse to put a slightly wider wheel on the back too ;)
