The reason these techniques work is because they depend on the opponent using force. The more force the greater the reaction. MMA and Boxers are taught to always use their strength, this will actually make it easier for a skilled Internal Artist to beat them.

@taichiinternal it's not a little bit of compliance it if full. I've trained in martial arts since 1984, the last 20 plus years has been in aikido. Just as with Tai chi, you can make your instructor look mystical. But at the end of the day without training with resistance it is all bullshit

Great performance of traditional Yung’s 85 postures, the long form practice would take 25 minutes in slow motion which is crucial to build your internal energy as well as the strength of legs and feet shared of your body’s weight in balance and harmony to support your upper body moved softly and flexibility. We are glad seeing this video to improve my daily practice lasting 50 years, this benefits your whole life indeed physically and mentally. 🙏

@dannave78162 жыл бұрын
@@brucewebber3412 It is the same thing. It depends upon how you count the postures. eg if you count Grasp Sparrow's Tail as one posture, you have a lower count than if you count ward off, roll back, press, and push...
@brucewebber34122 жыл бұрын
@@dannave7816 I'm sorry but you are mistaken. The long form is 108 postures but counting the sparrow tail components, etc, is 150 postures. The difference between the long form (108 postures) and the short form (85 postures) is that the long form repeats several postures; cloud hands 3 times, repulse monkey 2 times, needle and fan 2 times, for example.

I remember learning T T Liangs Tai Chi from one of my Sifus in Newark Delaware around 12 years ago and I liked it alot. I had already learned from someone else prior to that though so it took some getting use to the way they would do long form to music. I guess TT Liang had set up a way of teaching long form so it matched up with a specific instrumental song. I never got that down but I learned the whole form. Unfortunatly I only remember around half of it. I was learning Hung gar kung fu at the same time and that was my primary style and I guess eventually I decided Tai Chi was taking to long, I had already had a good foundation in Chinese Kung fu as I saw it back then and I was struggling mentally with how slow the curriculum was being taught to me. I wish I would have stuck with it seeing as a good Tai Chi Chuan Sifu who has learned the full system (push hands, 2 man sets, spear, straight sword..) with all the combat applications (strikes, throws, chin-na) as well as a deep understanding of Chi Gung is hard to come by. I hope I get the opportunity to train with someone as learned in the system again. These days my primary style is Fut Sao (Buddha hand) Wing Chun, which is a very rare style itself. My Sigungs Sigung was a very famous Abbot of Shaolin Grandmaster Hsu Yun. Our system also has a complete Chi Gung system taught as well. Anyways I am happy to see thus video. Thank you for the post.

People who dont know about internal will see this as a fake comedy show. But in Chinese Martial arts especially in Traditional one internal is combine the Qi, Joints and Relax in Body so those will make a balance and power also
@taichiinternal6 жыл бұрын
Hello M. H Nude , I know what you mean it does look fake , but this is the essence of tai chi chuan. Using internal force at this level it is impossible to see because it is inside and not external but i can assure you it is real. Do his students help ? sure they do! it would be very disrespectful to not assist there teacher, but the only way they help is by using external force and thankfully there are still some great teachers today able to show the same levels of tai chi chuan.

I had to watch the rest of it just to be sure but Gee, his students almost make it look like it’s fake! Incredible how they run off to the side and fall with ease! WELL IT IS FAKE!!!

AHHHHH, he who knows not and runs his mouth is simply ignorant. It takes near a decade of constant, consistent, DAILY(never missing a single day!!) practice to attain this skill. 2-4 hours Zhan Zhaung(stake standing practice)a day, 365 days per year, for 3-5 years. Few have the patients, teacher, drive, or (most important!) mental and physical endurance to attain these skills. Once attained, they are rarely demonstrated in public. Enjoy this little window into what is possible. Only through dissolving EGO can these skills be obtained. No offense meant, but in reading your comment, it is evident that you haven't even started on that journey. Good luck, be well and happy on your present course!!!! Peace

Having Practised Tai Chi myself for only 20 + years im not qualified to judge these masters and there principles, But i do know Tai Chi is a Internal art and very hard to judge any kind of ability/skill from visual external view point. @@harryohrn6051 Cheng Man Ching didn't really 'invent' the 37 posture form. Rather he took the Yang 108 and removed a few postures and repetitions. Each teacher uses the form as a means to teach their understanding to students.
