It's got the "dog paw" or "caddie drag" action that comes from pulling with the trail hand (in my case the right hand). You can see the clubhead kind of lag behind as it is being dragged low and inside. Count Yogi did this on every swing.

@@countyogigolf no, just a big fan. I simply recognize that bending over lowers the central pivot point, forcing you to tighten the next circle and dive onto the lead side, which then forces you to hit down on the ball with shaft lean. If you maintain height in the back swing, the next circle can be the same size, meaning no transition which lengthens the acceleration arc, simplifies the swing, and removes the requirement to hit down on the ball.

Cox, I lived here for 4 years and the greens have never been glass. We have had some issues with the superintendents and had to cut down over 50 trees to provide enough light for them to grow. Also, we had some freezes that the grass couldn’t handle . I will make a point to show the greens next time, it’s kind of embarrassing they have gotten so bad. I didn’t even want to invite a guest to play in the member/ guest tournament. Please visit Elkins Lake again to see for yourself before calling BS.

If you set up correctly, and take it away inside per instructions , and then use the "Frankenberg Pivot" that he details in Revolutionary Golf made Easy, your club head will shallow out under the ball without effort. You will feel like you are "swinging up" because the return to that bottoming out point is effortless and boneless. The power comes from ground forces as you "stand up" into your perfect Yogi follow through.

Gonna be detrimental to your knee and spine. "Happy feet" relieve the pressure and tension for people who are not flexible. If you are super flexible by all means keep your feet planted. Yet if you are an older person or someone who doesnt have a real stretching program this is potentially dangerous.
@countyogigolf
@countyogigolf 6 ай бұрын
Not true when you set up and swing properly. The keys to success is mastering the grip, the inside takeaway and Frankenberg pivot. This method is great for old guys and there are no injuries associated with it. Plus, it's ok to let one's feet get a little happier as one ages. Even CY had more foot movement when he was really old. The key is to learn the basics of this swing method. If one tries to "hybridize" elements of the swing into their own game that still usually works for them, but all bets are off, regarding any statements or conclusions on the Yogi method. If it's not pure then it is comparing apples and oranges.
