Unfortunately, many people do not know that before the colonial Sykes-Picot arrangement we were one nation with a common spectrum of cultural expressions. In Tunisia we call it Stambeli, in Algeria it is called Diwan and Gnawa in Morocco. All three share the same roots and are almost identical sometimes just like the Andalusian Malouf music in all 3 countries.
