That's an interesting item, Lars. I have the Flip kite from Prism, which uses the same principle, and it's good to see a different way of doing it.

They (the dragons) are pretty awesome...but they are picky on the wind scale: I found out that correcting the spars in the mouth have some influence... :-)

Hi, I used a Skymonkey Cloudpirate, it's a lot like the Bora 7 (which I also have) in size but a bit heavier due to cheaper material :-)

I got it from a french sport outlet called "Decathlon", they are sold in sets a 5 kites.So I collected them for a few month :-)

I do something similar with a Prisma Synapse 140. Lay the two lines all out on the ground side by side, pick up a bridle in each hand and let the wind pull out more kite line whenever you want. The 140 is small enough to where you won't get hurt/friction burnt. I wouldn't try it on bigger kites unless I had gloves.

It has its advantages ( at least for me) the untangling is a lot easier after a crash (still happens...more than I want to admit) and launch/recovery as well. It takes some strength to fly bigger kites with those, but I got used to it :-)

@@larsflieskites I only just got a little solid frame stunt kite from my neighbor. It's not the best, and it's hard to catch good winds where I am located, but I'd like to try a parafoil someday. Maybe I'll see what I can do with what I have so far!

Wrist straps instead of winders makes for better flight js..

For smaller ones like this 2,5 m it's still ok. But also prefer nice padded straps for longer flights or bigger kites :-)
