I’m convinced the only reason Leonard lives with Sheldon is because someone is paying him to basically be Sheldon’s handler so that Sheldon doesn’t get arrested or killed.

The writers failed miserably in not creating some really satisfying scenes where Sheldon has his ass beaten by one of the other characters . The entire balance between sheldon and the other characters allows for sheldon to be a bully that never gets his due .

It’s amazing how many people are missing the point with their focusing on whose apartment it was. The scene was never about the apartment; Leonard was just spitballing ideas. The issue is that Leonard will be changing his living situation so he and his wife, like any normal couple, can live together-together being just them, NOT Sheldon, as Sheldon thinks will happen. Whatever change Leonard proposed would still upset Sheldon because he is terrified of change of any kind. The fact that things are changing around his life in this episode is overwhelming for a control freak who is used to having everything as he likes it, and it drives him to leave on that train in the end so he can cope. The problem is a hell of a lot bigger than just an apartment.

Nope that's not it, sheldon was upset because how could leonard, a roommate who isnt even a shared owner of the apartment, even think about making sheldon leave his apartment into a smaller one, he glossed over the other ideas suggested but it wasnt until leonard brought up that sheldon should leave. You're reaching too hard.

No one is saying that’s the reason Sheldon is upset. It’s the audience hearing the words Leonard said and saying “whoa you shouldn’t have any ideas of kicking someone out of the apartment you both share especially when Sheldon lived there first”

A bunch of the comments here are focused on a random idea from Leonard being the reason why Sheldon is upset when there is clearly a bigger underlying issue upsetting Sheldon, which Sheldon himself confirms in the very next scene. Sheldon’s anger has to do with the bigger change of losing his best friend as his roommate and everything else changing in his life so quickly. The “move across the hall” thing was just the easiest thing for him to latch onto without him outright telling Leonard “You can’t move in with your fiancée because I still need you”, something he has to know Leonard would outright and rightfully reject at this point. Pretty simple to understand once the whole episode unravels itself.

People have a misunderstanding here. Leonard just pointed that he wants to live with Penny. Alone without Sheldon. He doesn't have a problem with him move from their shared apartment, Sheldon have a problem of not living with Leonard. And Leonard knows that. He only mention the possibilities.

I cannot believe these people who side with Sheldon!! Not once did Leonard say anything about how Sheldon had to leave his apartment But gave him another option that he would go live with Penny. Then Sheldon rather than give in that he is not the most important person in Leonard's life brings out the victim O you want to meet her needs rather than mine. Selfish to the end and when Leonard does move out runs to Leonard giving him a bone and telling him to come back. What most of you do not get Sheldon is a selfish I am the only one who is important and thus you have to please me. I have said many times Sheldon is lucky I was not one of the five because he would have many black eyes and many taking the bus to school days Also they would not be anyone to feed him or cover for his abuse of others in the form of I am right and there for you have to do it

Leonard pays half the rent. Sheldon may have lived there first but he asked Leonard to move in, And in fact, Leonard moved out before and Sheldon literally couldn't function on his own, having to fake a power outage in order to get Leonard back in the apartment. Sheldon has never lived alone before, even when Leonard was in the North Sea, Sheldon relied on Penny and Amy to do everything for him.
