I do apologise. I really do. I’m not a keyboard warrior but what you are saying is factually incorrect You do not need a dyno to measure the lambda and exhaust temps, boost when tuning. You can tune using the road and looking at the telemetry All the dyno does, is to prove what you are changing, is making a difference in the correct way

Damn did i learn the expensive way.. Driveability issue (bucking on light throttle/decel) couldn't be identified/resolved so i went elsewhere who assured me they could fix it. 3 turbos and a change back to standard injectors later, the bucking is still unresolved and putting down 20kW less than the original PT tune, and using way more fuel. Two GCG turbos smashed up the exhaust wheel and VNT mechanism, cause unknown. Exhaust temps weren't excessive. Shaft speed sensor fitted on the most recent turbo showed it was still in a very safe range (25psi @ 150,000rpm). Logs seem to suggest the bucking occurs when the VNT is at the minimum open position. EMP at that time spikes to 65psi while MAP is around 15. Is it the vanes too closed choking the exhaust, causing the shudder, and consequent stress on the vanes which end up breaking up, going through the turbine? Nobody can work it out. Finally its going well enough to trade in. Pity the poor bastard down the road. All said, its been a frustrating affair but ive learned so much along the way doing HP Academy courses and endless hours of googling. I should have stuck with Martin and Gareth but i burnt that bridge by demanding a partial refund lol. Live and learn.

Whats the best results you have managed to get out of a stock xr6 turbo. Best iv done was a f6 408hp stock 490hp after a tune 525hp with a new dump pipe to remove catalytic converter on a mainline prohub.

No the best thing you can do to your commodore is put a 98mm turbo half the price capability to make 2000hp, Harrop 2300 is $15,000+ for not much more than your getting for that turbo you have change to put a 413 strocker and an easy 800hp

yes ,but cost is a factor and also put the car under current EPA reg's, none of the cars which have been modified will pass its that simple and in SA, you dont need a RWC when you buy a car, which is what i have herd, so what the hell? just think of how many modern holden VF's and VE HSV's which has mods on them especially 100 cell cats, bang the car techniclay is not RWC or EPA passable its that simple people? Unless you use Euro 4 cat specs. :)

I might be buying a 2020 super duty within the next couple of days and am debating just getting a 2019 just so I don’t have to wait for a tune. Thank you stay smart

I have the same car done approx 180,000kms. Everything runs fine except for the fact that when it is cold(first start everyday) it will not start unless some hot water is poured over the ECU... then it will start first pop everytime. Any ideas?

I'm contemplating a Harrop sc, is the 2650 too much blower for an Ls3 auto? What internal upgrades would it need to safeguard it when going beyond 500rwkw? Cheers
