where did you use the second shorter torque wrench? I see you used the big one for pretty much everything.

My van is going back into the dealer for the THIRD time, because every single rear main seal they've used leaks almost immediately after the repair. I don't understand why this keeps happening, so I found your video to hopefully make me better understand. All it did was make me more angry, because as far as rear main seals are concerned this one is cakewalk! My only guess is they're attempting to re-use the plate and it's too warped/bent to make a complete seal. Excellent video! Also, I'd get a co-worker or a buddy to hold up a vacuum as you roughed up the texture. Just extra precaution.

I envy you guys in the south. I own and run a mobile fleet service in northern Michigan. I maintain fleets of 100s of super duty trucks, transit vans, dump trucks, equipment etc…. For me, the rust is a battle, I generally use a cut off wheel and cut a slice into the rotor so I can wedge a flat screw driver into the cut and it opens the rotor apart from the hub. Then I can turn it and remove it from the hub. Good to see another fellow mechanic using new torque to yield hardware. I also replace many wheel bearing hubs due to the tone rings being cracked. Anti seize is our best friend in the north 😂

I have to replace the slide arm and can’t find anything on how to put a new one on. I know the old one popped out of the track so it wasn’t difficult to remove. I’m told it’s really expensive at a body shop

@NetoMp-g4n it would require different heads, pistons, cams, vacuum pump, inter cooler, ducting, and engine wiring harness.

I have a 2015 Transit 250 and I always pull up your front or rear video before I do brakes to to make sure I got what I need and what my torques are, BUT before I found your video I had watched several others and had done 1 brake change but did not know, because they did not say, about the TORQUE TO YIELD on the front brakes. Fortunately it was me driving and not another family member. The odd thing is I'd buy parts locally (not dealership) and there was no mention either of the torque to yield. You'd think it would be a red flag on the cpu screen. Well, now I know so no big deal. I have an HVAC business and honestly don't mind paying a place, even the steelership, to do my brakes, but they always want my vehicle for a couple days which means no work and no money so I started doing my own and saving some extra cash. So THANK YOU for your videos on brakes. Do you do other repairs on the Transit as well.......ie crank shaft sensor etc.? Keep the great videos coming.

After having quite a few trucks in my 70 years of living I only had one ford and that broke me of ever having another, I’ve had several chevys and 4 dodges. I don’t know about fords but chevys dashes in the 70’ 80’ and 90 ones I had were the worse to replace and take apart, dodge 2 gens I know had cheap plastic and fell apart but lots of aftermarket pieces can be bought to fix back up and are easy as hell to work on. I have two now and one I completely went thru about 8 years ago and the other just this year both by myself.

My timing cover is leaking it used to just leakwhen tilted back on my drive way now i see it leak when parked on a flat surface. It looks bad on the drive way. It doesn't leak so bad as i have to add oil in 3000 miles its just about less than a 1/2 quart. I got a prce of $2300 to have it done at a independent for shop. My question is would it help at all if i re torqed the bolts where its leaking. The leaks on the upper left hand side.

Hoping that changing the fluid will prevent this from happening for a while. That or ill trade in for a new one and be on top of the maintenance lol

I am having same issue with my vehicle, even after replacing oil pump, timing and all the good stuff under front cover. Only comes on when oil is warm after 15 minutes, do you have a good diagram where this sensor is located? Also how long does it typically take to replace this sensor? Ford is telling me I need new engine 248K miles however I just replaced everything and seems to run fine, except for the oil light. Thanks for posting videos! Great way to spread knowledge!
