I hope your subscriber base keeps growing. BTW, I'm not a novice gearhead...machinist for years, retired electrician, I pretty much know my way around vehicles myself. Why don’t you just replace the crankshaft if the compression on cylinders are good. My mechanic said if the compression is still good on all cylinders you can just replace the crankshaft or take it to a machine shop if it’s not severally damaged and have it grinded. To much work? I know you said it messed up again after 8 months.
@oggarage34594 ай бұрын
I mean, yeah, it is a lot of work, and a use crankshaft costs around $ 300 or more, which is almost as much as a use engine cost. So we'll see what happens. I'll probably drop a shorter video showing what it looks like the second time I already did the bearing again, and it runs, but probably not for very long.

Sorry about the late reply. The original cause for the bearing failure was low oil. Yes, it fixed the problem but only lasted about 8 months due to the fact that the crankshaft was damaged to begin with . As long as the crankshaft is good, it should last a long time. Thanks.

Am glad it did. Keep in mind that depending on how bad your rod bearings are, if your crankshaft is shewed up by the bearings, this may be a temporary fix. My crankshaft was damaged, so what I did was smoothed out enough with sand paper, but it only lasted about 7 months and is knocking again this time am probably just gonna find a good used engine and swap them out. Good luck. 👍
