Songs like these really inspire me to learn bass. Awesome job!

The fact that the stoner character plays his role completely seriously but manages to turn it into comedy gold was genius.

I got to meet Dick Shawn, my mom used to date his brother, and she became friends with him. My dad thought it would be funny for a 7 year old me to say "Hey, man, I Lieb ya, I Lieb ya, I Lieb ya! Now Lieb me alone." when we went out with him to dinner.
I think the funniest one here is Renée Adorée Taylor as Eva Braun. It kills me the way she says, "Er liebt mir, er liebt mir nicht. Er liebt mir, er liebt mir nicht. DU LIEBST MIR NICHT!"

Did they really think the audience wouldn't enjoy laughing at someone making a mockery of Hitler? I'd pay to see that and Charlie Chaplain made history doing it.

Very nice playing sir! This song made me appreciate Roger's bass playing, but then I heard Dave did a lot of bass on this album, but either way, it's the funkiest bass Floyd put down, I think.

The closing cascading guitar triad riff at the end? That’s Gilmour. Gilmour used that technique in Short and Sweet and Run Like Hell.

oakland night 1 (the famous recording) is a pretty bad show compared to some of the other 77 shows, but it was historic due to it having the final performance of careful with that axe, eugene. i would recommend the version of pigs from cleveland (june 25, 1977) which has very agressive solos and great vocal work. another great show is montreal (july 6, 1977), but it does have roger screaming over the jam part after a fan threw a beer bottle at him. another great one is new york night 2 (july 2, 1977), great quality and it's the best performance from the 4 msg nights

I think Mel Brooks was paying homage here to director Ernst Lubitsch, whose 1942 movie TO BE OR NOT TO BE centered on a fictional Polish theater troupe who lampooned the Nazi high command -- especially the "Send for Goebbels!" bit.
