Cougars are apex predator of North and South America. They can kill anything if motivated. Standing vertical jump of 20 feet, side jump of 50 feet, top speed of 50 MPH, jaws that can crush a moose skull.

hmmm not sure.for me Predators instinct is that their vulnerable during eating their meal. you can see them in youtube checking their paramters while eating. so if they saw some other predators nearby. They leave their food for good rather risking their lives. Thats my opinion.

Except that the mountain lion isn't getting any benefit in return. Man and dogs were a mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship. The cat is just paying off the extortion from the wolves. But, yea, it's wild to see this type of behavior in this cat.

This isn’t even close to true. Wolves are one of the few animals that kill for sport. They are far more successful hunters than mountain lions. Mountain lions aren’t fast enough to chase deer and don’t have the endurance to keep up the chase, they aren’t strong enough to take down elk or moose, they are almost exclusively ambush predators and they don’t succeed as often as you think. Wolves literally coordinate attacks on animals 10X their size and end up with a kill most of the time. They terrorize herds for months on end that out number their pack 25 to 1. Yellowstones herbivore populations have been devastated since the reintroduction of wolves to the park. Those Yellowstone wolves have migrated outside the range of Yellowstone and into the Idaho farmlands where they are ripping through livestock causing millions in property damages. Eastern Idaho farmers issue bounties for wolves because they won’t stop killing, not hunting, killing their livestock.
