Replace the chain; it's stretched and is not good for the cogs sprockets.

Nice.. a heck of a lot easier to work on than the CBX! I remember a comment from Cycle magazines test of the CB650.....someone had done something similar, but they threw in CB750 pistons. Displacement wasn't greatly improved....592 ccs...."but it proved to be a jet"....good luck with it, and look out for the German Shepards(had one chase me on the road test)!!!

That was too good a bike to modify. Personally if you do a custom mod better to find a bit of junk that is too far gone to have a chance of restoring to original look than taking a stock bike in great condition that would turn just as many heads if you just restored it to new than hacking it up to make a whole new identity. I wonder in a few years if many of these old hondas are going to be around because of this trend and the good stock ones are gunna be worth ten times as much.
