Has anyone ever done tests with your various bump caps against paintball impact? Small 1 inch object flying around 280 Feet per second. I wear a thick foam padded hat but the company that made them is out of business and i'm looking for a replacement.

All great advice 👍 but I cant hardly find from anyone that talks about proper way to breathe while doing this .. ? My son is a drywall finisher and he does all the proper ways of lifting .. but when he lifted a box of heavy drywall mud compound he damaged a lung causing an air leak is what the doctor said.. he was in a lot of pain and off work for 5 days , doctor said no lifting for 1 month , what is proper way to lift when lifting as you show here in this video

What i would love is a bump camp insert for cowboy hats, fedoras, stetsons, aussie floppy hats etc with the various crease styles on the crown of that hats that are common to them. They make a cowboy style hardhat which is ridiculous to some but is safety rated, but it would be nice to insert a bunp cap into an actual cowboy hat/stetson/fedora when working in a barn/coop and whatnot with the low hanging beams, or when riding horses under tree branches and other low hanging items. It may even help in the rodeo circuit!

Amazon. They simply trim the cap until it fits. No real right or qrong way. Hope that helps.

These will be very useful for me. I have several home "massage" devices that are slightly too aggressive. With these gloves I can relax of an evening knowing that I wont get Vibration White Finger because of my personal excesses! Thank you once again Ergodyne!

That 8945 is great at stiffening up my hats after cleaning/steaming them and working out creases on the ball cap. Not to mention it allows them to look fuller and stand taller than what they normally would without the bump cap. I bought two and immediately bought 4 more. These things are absolutely awesome!!!

I just found these. I’m a training mechanic post army as a late life hobby and well, I’m bald. Shaved bald most of the time. I’m concerned without hair the impact structures will be uncomfortable right on my skin, or in case of the foam make my skin sweat a lot. So my question would be are the caps normal comfortable caps? Could I simply rig the impact structure on the outside? Have you considered making one reversed where it’s a normal comfortable cotton cap with a styled shell on the outside?

The most comfortable for someone without hair would be the 8955 or 8965: www.ergodyne.com/skullerz-8955-lightweight-bump-cap-hat.html It has a lightweight wicking liner that sits between the impact foam and the wearer's head. The bump caps have an intended use as an insert, so it's not recommended to wear them on the outside of a cap or hat.
