Well how do I get those wires from under fender?
@donuchosanchz823 ай бұрын
It's been a while since I did this. You should be able to disconnect the fender or remove the tire. (Depends what's easier for you or what you're trying to accomplish)

Great video. It indeed helped me. Thanks. At one point, you wondered why would they even keep it as an option. I don't know the exact reason but something I can think of that the plumber will install it with predefined 'just barely enough' hot water. The owner may realize the inefficiency weeks or months later to call the plumber just to pay that $250 for the visit. Plumbers, on the other hand, love the product because it is a easy money from the homeowners. So it is the big brother taking care of the small brother, and then the small brother taking care of the big brother. Don't believe me?? Read other people's comment here.

OMG, I can't believe I just saved a few thousand by following this video. My contractor told me that some work needs to be done in a scroll space to fix the hot water problem. Also, this video is specifically for the Glacier Bay model that requires a couple more steps and this video is very helpful when you don't have instructions handy.

@donuchosanchz828 ай бұрын
Under the handle there's a rubber cap that needs to be removed to access the hole where you will insert your Allan wrench.

Do i have to shut the main water line to do this?

No, the water was on during this process. If you will remove anything else then I would recommend shutting off the water.

@@donuchosanchz82 thank you, i moved the temp thing but now the handle turns a little more than it was , shuts offs but than continues with more water. The temp adjustment thing does not go all the way in for me.

@@JulianaOJulie is this the same brand as the one in the video? Does the same thing happen if you put it back to how it was originally?

@@JulianaOJulie if it is over rotating you may need to: set the temperature adjustment to a position to where it doesn't over rotate, or check that the stem isn't loose, or if it's an older model it may be time to replace the gasket on that stem.

I have delta in two showers and just installed GB in the third because my wife liked the color. I think delta is easier to install and you don't have to deal with the temp thingy. My biggest complaint now is that the GB shower doesn't get as warm as the deltas do and I don't want to turn the water heater hotter. This is not a helpful feature.
