What an embarrassment we've become. The once Great British Empire which were on the forefront of inventing and developing vital and radical systems and weapons like radar, spitfire, hurricane, lightening fighters, Lancaster bombers, mosquito multi roll aircraft and the Lee Enfield rifle has to now rely on the USA for most of our military capability because,as with the assault rifles right up to the royal naval fighting vessels that are British built, they simply don't work and they are obsolete. God bless the USA!

Doesn't matter how good the A-10 is at putting "warheads on foreheads" if it can't get to the fight. Simply not survivable in a near-peer fight. It wasn't even survivable in the 80s. CAS will be done with drones and smart weapons. The USA doesn't have the manpower to waste on "dumb CAS."

THE DISADVANTAGES OF THE F-22 ARE THE SAME AS THEY WERE WHEN, The Kremlin & CCP Kept Their Fighters FAR AWAY FROM THE F-15's --- BORIS & CHANG ARE 'SCARED TO DEATH" OF ANY ENCOUNTER WITH AN F-22. In First True-Air Test Flights ONE F-22 SHOT DOWN 5 F-15'S.... It Gets Worse: Simulated Raptors achieved "108-Kills -To - Zero" against best F-15, F-16 and F-18's".

ah yes, overlooking the fact that the US intentionally hobbles itself in all of these exercises, in this case the raptor was (among other things) given extra fuel tanks on the outside of the plane that are not part of it's standard package (nor were they needed for this scenario), to give it a larger radar cross section and make it less maneuverable. The US doesn't do these joint trainings to show how capable they are, because the rest of the world already knows it. they do them because you learn infinitely more from a loss than a win. the US ALWAYS downplays its own military capabilities.

Simply put, it is geopolitics at play. It is ironic that Europe and the US, being complicit in the Endless wars in the Middle East, Afghanistan and North Africa is only only nice to Turkey at Press Conferences with regard to the refugee mess they created there. The flow of refugees has for the most part transitted through Turkiye🇹🇷. Fearing the mass influx of refugees to Europe, it has to be nice to the Turks, which is housing in excess of 5 million refugees. Erdogan is well aware of that and is playing that card. USA 🇺🇸 and the Europeans at worst is Racist and Islamophobic as they have been blown away by the aecendency of Turkiye and its Homegrown Military industry and is in fear of the Power Projection of Turkiye's🇹🇷 Military and Intelligence arms. Thus to say the Turks is desperate is out of the question as it already boasts the biggest airforce in Europe. Those planes is viewed only as a stopgap for the remaining 7 years as the Turks has their own aerial armaments assembled and past the drawing board stage. Their homegrown Stealth fighter which is equivalent or better than the F35 is to fly within the next 3 days and mass production thereof for the next 7 years. Not to mention their 6th Generation Unmanned drone, Kizilelma and Anka 3 Bomber Unmanned drones which has alreqdy conducted several successful tests. It currently boasts the biggest fighter drone inventory that is larger than what Europe posseses combined. So the Question remains: Who is to benefit more? So should USA or Europe still play hardball with Turkiye🇹🇷 and and deny themselves a financial transaction worth $20 million dollars or should Turkey celebrate with the Chinese and open.doors to more Technology access and knowledge transfers that may only embolden both the Turks and the Chinese. The problem with these Ex Colonialists and Settler Colonialists is their belief that evrything and everything is cast in stone and that they should remain the ownersbof that Stonehouse. The problem they have is that their populace has such a high lifestyle vs the Global South that other nations is currently outpacing them as far as new Technologies and labour prices is concerned. Furthermore, their populations is ageing fast and they, for the most part cannot match our human resources in terms of numbers and production figures. Now you'll understand why there is Endless Ongoing wars, mass genocide, uprooting of Nations in order to keep control. But sadly their economies are taking andbsome of them mwy soon join the ranks of 3rd World 🌎 Countries. Of course, the Turks was never Colonised and was in charge of their own affairs for Centuries, and off course is just readjusting after a 100 years Sabotage from the same or familiar colonisers. It is noteworthy to note that despite their economic woes of recent memory Turkiye🇹🇷 remains the 2nd highest donor of aid to the Worlds🌎 opressed and impoverished. Therefore it is not in their genes to beg. They are a nation committed to Trust and Patience. We have Witnessed when the USA 🇺🇸 denied them the purchase of their drones and Patriot Air Defense systems, they patiently put their skills together and as we speak has delivered systems that rivals or even supercedes those same sytems at a significantly reduced price and best of all sells.it to countries that was never deemed privileged enough to acquire Western weaponry. We have become accustomed to how these Western Leaders can lie and steal from us at the same time with a straight face.

Regardless how many squadrons they resurrect on paper. Without more airframes they will just have to hot seat the few F35Bs we have! MOD and government need to purchase at least 200 F35B aircraft to give both carriers full compliments and have several RAF squadrons to replace the Harriers they retired too early. Remember, the true role of the Harrier was dispersal away from fixed airfields. The reasons for this are blatantly obvious and have not gone away in recent years.

These new F35b carrier fleets are gonna be able to fly off and land on each others ships making them tactically very flexible. Makes you wonder if one could land on the back of a destroyer or something.

Probably because Japan has effectively been banned from having true aircraft carriers with fixed wing capability since 1945. Times change, lets hope for the best. but most of the wartime generation would be horrified that they are being permitted to again.
