I’m kinda surprised that Owney Madden didn’t have a bigger role in the series, at least towards the later seasons. He was a big figure in organized crime from the independent street gangs to Prohibition and even much later.

The actor for Capone must have either done or seen other people do blow because this is pretty accurate especially the sniffing and coughing after (although when you do a key bump you only snort once and the bump is never as big as it was in here)

Fanook = finocchio. Means fennel. It's aused as slur for queer people since in the middle age they were burning them on the pile along with fennel seeds, to mask the smell of burnt flesh

Actually if you watch the whole episode this is a part of a carefully structured piece that makes heavy use of Brechtian anal invasion and as such watching one minute of it isnt going to give you the full context of why or even how he said it. Delete this video or punishment will be insidious but brutal

As much as I dislike Narcisse, this is the scene I liked him best in. When he basically goes toe to toe with Rothstein, who's a smarmy worm himself.

Bro prolly had the purest coke imaginable. Its 1921-24. Before greed and money ruined it. The main problem with coke is its cut nowadays. Thats what makes you feel weird. Imagine %95 coke.

Dr. Valentine Narcise eloquently with subtle geastures respects while also despises Rothstein and sees Madden as beneath both of their intellect, all through non verbal cues. Example his slight eye glance at Madden when he interrutped their dialogue during"biggest fish in Harlem" and again "thats what they call the colored", and with Rothstein Dr. Narcise needed to wipe his hand with his handerchief after shaking Rothstein's hand. Brilliant acting.

Gotta give Chalky credit! He took his loyalty to Nucky to his grave and didn't rat him out! 25000$ is nearly half a million in 1920!

Narcissi had a lot of respectable traits ofc. But he had a lot of despicable ones too. He’s what Nucky was in S2 a gangster pretending to be something else. Ultimately he was a big fish in a small pound. His pound being Harlem. Narcissi only wanted to run Harlem. Luciano & the commission want to rule rule all of New York +. And You know the saying there always a bigger fish. And when he decided not to cooperate with Luciano. They took him out.

Stewart Lee destroys comedy - using vast and intelligent references - and reinvents it to fit him; I love it. He's still educating some now, who need the titillation of misogynous or similar tat.
