Something I could never understand is that even a small drink of Gold will make my stomach churn and the Silver does not. The Gold is aged in various wood barrels. The point is that I can tolerate other hard liquors aged in any type of barrels.

@@ethimself5064 does it bother you even when drinking a Reposado or Anjeo? With a gold mixto tequila the producer is allowed to add other things in like caramel coloring and things. Maybe you are having a reaction to those. With Reposado or Anjeo they can’t add those. It has to be 100% agave. Just a possibility??

I need a sweet red that resembles Castello Del Poggio sweet red but with higher ABV without bejng fortified. Any recommendations? Im new to wine but that one has the best taste to me.
@BeverageProfessor2 ай бұрын
@@Bridget_Nicole that is a great question. You might look for a wine made with Concord grapes. I’m not sure where you are located, but St James winery in Missouri has a wine called Velvet Red that is 10.5%ABV. You might try a small regional winery in your area and see if they have a concord red as well. Capriccio sangria is about 13% and is sweet as well. Unfortunately, most sweet wines are low in ABV. If I think of something else I will let you know. Thank you.

simple way to KNOW the sweetnes of a wine is its ABV% Moscato is around 6%abv and is sweet. However a sauvignon blanc or chardoney will be around 12,to 12.5%abv and be VERY dry. Sugars ferment to alcohol Low alcohol equals higher residual sugar, and be sweet.
