@LostPlectrum i mean Contoured Neck, it is applicable for this tips?
@LostPlectrum7 күн бұрын
@roberttan9970 this is valid with a contoured neck as well. The point is that the screws should not be threaded into the body holes, they should be threaded only into the neck. Hii Very good sound ! did you try the 57/62 set ? I want to change my pickups (i have CS 69, but disappointed, there is too much treble) What do you advise me now ?
@LostPlectrum11 күн бұрын
Thanks! I had once a 57/62 set. They are still on the treble side, according to my ears. I have a Pure Vintage 1965 set in my '65 reissue, those are vintage sounding but more balanced. The bridge pickup cuts through the mix wonderfully but you can play it clean and loud without destroying your ears. It's a GREAT set but it is also loaded into a AMAZING Strat. I believe the overall sound comes from the whole instrument, not only the pickups. Fat 50s are also a nice choice if you want a rounder, fatter tone.
@meirsofer860411 күн бұрын
@@LostPlectrum Yes, I don't have a reissue strat, I have a US Deluxe from 2010 with maple neck. So I want a warm , fat authentic sound that will work with tubsreamer, bluesbreaker and clean sound
@LostPlectrum11 күн бұрын
My experience is that sometimes the guitar itself won't change the main tonal characteristics with a pickup sound. I once had a very dark sounding strat, no matter what pickups I have loaded into that, it always sounded dark. This is not a rule by the way, so I encourage you to experience!
@LostPlectrum11 күн бұрын
One suggestion, try to lower your pickups as much as you can, the neck pick-up almost flush to the pick guard, the other ones higher to balance the volumes. This can tame the highs. Try to find the sweet spot!

You only want the thread in the neck, you don't want the thread in the body. That's the whole point, which is the very basic start of every junction with bolts/screws.

@LostPlectrum3 ай бұрын
The price of the grand auditorium (SR Rose plus) was around 900€ back in 2020, the dreadnought 50th anniversary costed around 1750€. The higher cost is due to the full solid wood construction and the bit of exclusivity of an anniversary model.

Congratulations for your playing and chanel. Great great stuff. I saw you are a "stratocaster guru". Maybe you can help me with some additional info. I'm unable to test Tokai guitar in local shops. Own a maple neck japan fender strat and want to buy a rosewood 60s strat. Was looking at fender vintage ii 61 option and now I ask myself if Tokai for 1000 euro will be enough for my needs and if it is really a clever decision to spend 1000 euro more on a fender. Can you help me or suggest any interesting option for 60s like strat with rosewood neck? Grazie e in bocca al lupo
@LostPlectrum4 ай бұрын
Thank you. Hard choices... If you buy in the used market and you score a decent deal, both Tokai and Fender will retain their value over time, so do not worry about that. The used market is now flooded of guitars, all priced too high, therefore screaming deals are definitely possible. Most of these guitars are brand new..... This is my suggestion number 1. As per a rosewood 60s stray, if you want to go with vintage specs you may have a look into AV II 61, American Original 60s (only used), any AVRI 62 (only used), Tokais indeed, Vintera 60s if you want to go Mexican, Vintera Road Worn if you are into relics. If you want more modern one, I can't stop myself to suggest you the latest iteration of American Standard 2012-2017 or a nice Classic Player 60.

The 1 11/16 nut is the only problem with this guitar. It’s too narrow for finger style. I’m thinking about buying one anyway - and seeing if it will take a 1 7/8 nut replacement.
@LostPlectrum5 ай бұрын
Finger style in a 12 strings will remain a challenge, you need real good right hand technique. I personally think it's more linked to how close the couples of strings are. There are 12 strings where the "twin strings", for example the double high e, are very much far away from each other. At the bridge this will result in an almost evenly spaced string to string, which make it impossible for finger style. Other 12 strings are built with more quality and the twin strings remain very close to each other without buzzing issue. A much better situation. I love this guitar also for this reason
