You must of got lucky with your valhalla ride..my last few its been very hit and miss with a lot of the effects working..and yes some staff there are very miserable and rude (we are season pass holders so go often)..but also some there are outstanding people too..like any walk of life i suppose..we now know the nice ones and the shit ones not to even bother interacting with...if you liked icon get yourself to europa park for voltron..it makes icon seem like a kiddy ride😊

I stayed there about 4 years ago, i had a room on the ground floor on the r/h side of the hotel. I squeaked my way to the room which was very small very old furniture that was falling apart. The view from my window was wheels of cars in the car park. I will NEVER go back to that place again, in fact i wouldn't put my dog in there.

You are right about oblivion. I think oblivion is the easiest fix. Change the drop to more than 90 degrees, come out the drop swing round behind smiler, throw in a loop back to the station. A new ride. Galactica will go first, no point in a retrack it is a good coaster but never a stand out. If universal opens the uk theme parks are in trouble, Alton towers will need to build high but the local authority will not allow it and try as Thorpe park does it just doesn't get noticed as much and i am not sure hyperia will change that for them. A big lift hill followed by just 40 seconds of ride time.

Hi mate I was an actor at fright nights 2023 and in regards to your confusion about filming in stitches, you can’t film in stitches as it’s a scare maze, same with survival games and trailers, however as for scare zones like crows or deaths doors, you can film in those You also mentioned that you heard some other KZbinrs in their videos saying you can film in stitches and the mazes at Thorpe, and of course that’s not true, so one of 2 things might’ve happened, the KZbinr lied, or it was a vlog from press night which is a special night before public opening day, where content creators and influencers get invited down to the park to share their thoughts about it, and you can film in the mazes at press night so the KZbinrs can share POV’s and thoughts. So, to round it all up, you can’t film in mazes And the KZbinrs either lied, or it was on press night when filming in the mazes was permitted Hope this helps :)

Agreed, I think the waterfalls have to be coming back. People are noticing dripping like they've been used overnight, and as you said... It's all still there! Changes to the helicopter around the stall turn were nice to see recently too! So It's clear this area is still not 100% complete yet. Although as much as id like to see them retheme Galactica soon... I feel like the other areas need it even more now. I think it's likely for them to re-paint and retheme Galactica soon to at least fit in the area better... But they really need to focus on the other areas instead. It's not a good look to have one side of the park full of life, then the rest of the park pretty much vacant.

When you look at the water rides options at Alton towers they is not many 2 water rides and in my opinion that is not good enough like other theme parks they have got a big water ride attratiction not Alton towers they haven’t got a big water ride the only 2 small water rides are the rapids and battle gallons when the flume left they haven’t replaced any big water ride and in my opinion get a big water boat ride someone in the dark forest or they could replace the runaway mine train that’s my opinion I think a new water ride will come at Alton towers in around 2026 or 2027

Air/Galactica never fitted Forbidden Valley and I think AT know this too! yeah, I think very soon they'll be a new themed area beyond Forbidden Valley. for sure.

I really think Galactica was a massive downgrade from Air. Its the same ride, but because of the VR, they stopped maintaining some of the foliage along the track. Even if you don't wear the VR, the views are lacking compared to what it was. Also the space theme is deeply uncompelling to me. Flying in space would feel nothing like how riding Air feels. If the VR was the 'futuristic paradise' like you mention, I think it would be much more effective.

Extend Galactica in to the car park and add a few other rides/attractions maybe a rename and add stuff as you have said also would be nuts. They really need to expand considering who else could be coming to the UK!

I worked at Alton Towers on the sales & admissions team, icluding the car parks, The car park behind galactica (G&H) is used when the park is busy enough to overfill the main car park, they start filling this car park before the main carpark to give themselves space for cars, this is why traffic splits at the traffic lights, straight on will take you to G&H and left will take you to the hotels and the main car park. It would be a great idea for a new themed area on this car park. however i don't think they will do this. :)

Love it ! I though about it and yes it totally works! And the carpark can have an indoor water ride which is near the hotels so could be kept open most of the year!

There's still scaffolding around the station so no testing yet. Construction timeline is still around 11 weeks so i doubt it's open for opening day or week

Testing phase is around 200 hours ,there is still a lot of work to do round the station and queue lines . I would visit in April 🤐

My theory is that it could not be a pipe but instead be one of the old supports. The old Nemesis was pinned down by these supports and once it was reborn it freed itself.
