The food halls are just a shadow of their former glory when seafood was stacked in beauriful pyramids in the open, meats also, and fruits and vegetables were beautifully displayed. Pre-wrapped and behind glass...this is not just another super market.

Just flew on the A380 flight 322 from Singapore to London. Horrible flight in my opinion. Seats jammed in, physically uncomfortable and I am only 5 foot 6. Plane kept freezing cold. Between meal after takeoff and one 2 hours before landing, no snacks offered to me or my children. Would choose a Singapore air 777 any day over an A380. Will avoid in future.

I agree, recently returned to London from Singapore on a A380 economy.. lovely service etc but so cramped.. I think they have added an extra row of seats and squeezed everyone up.. (Just my opinion).

By definition ALL ECONOMY CLASSES ARE bad even with Singapore Airlines - seats are thin n cramped, food is bad (vs mediocre on other airlines), etc. I think it’s not worth doing Economy Class reviews anymore as none can be outstanding given the low fares. Fly Business or above if you want great food n comfort.

You know it must be massive. Back in the 80s when I was young I spent a lot of time in London. One time I was so broke I asked my father for some money. He sent it. I treated myself to a few chocolates at Harrods. The lady behind the counter put on a pair of pink gloves. She picked the chocolates one by one, put them in a little box, tied with a ribbon. She said they were flown in twice a week from Belgium. I was to refrigerate and eat within a few days. Made with fresh ingredients. The fillings were made with fresh cream, needing refrigeration. Did they throw away chocolates from the week before? Damn I hope not. I would have volunteered to eat to keep them from going to waste!

I doubt there is much. Europeans tend to be less wasteful than Americans. I spent some time in London and shopped in the food hall about twice a week.

My great grand Uncle Sir Algood Stickapopple brought me to this establishment for a pot of tea,now we had a wonderful time until Algood got a fit of the vapours on spotting a rather fetching and well endowed Lady from South Asia he was of course a survivor of the Burma railroad with the ANZACs and took it upon himself to offer an inebriated version of his heroics t,to this beauty, the head bottle washer,a Belgian,decided to intervene,imagine a Belgian holding himself up as the standard for behavioral etiquette,!! And ordered myself and the war hero out the side door,,hard to believe really the ignominy never leaves one,,never !

I like the lobsters. As a child I went with a brother to a restaurant. In the restaurant there was a fish tank filled with different fish. My mother asked me which fish I liked. I thought which fish I thought was the most interesting to look at. I was very surprised when a waiter came with a net and caught the fish I was admiring. I asked my mother why the waiter was removing the fish. She answered, "So you can have it for supper." I ate the fish very slowly filled with guilt.

looking at your breakfast meal... where was the egg and sausage. it looked like just a piece of chicken breast and wing, mash, mushies and baked beans. still looked yum though. and your main meal looked delish too. did they serve alcoholic drinks? thanks for a great report. ive heard Singapore airlines are quite good. not sure if i like the seating the width of the plane, id rather 3/4/3 config so fingers crossed id get a window seat.. lol

You have to go. It is massive. Halls it is. All types of foods, ingredients, spices. Far from your average supermarket. I have been in supermarkets all over the USA. I traveled in my work. Nothing, nothing like the food halls of Harrods. Especially for hard to find gourmet ingredients. I did see a nice one in Germany, but again, Harrods is one of a kind.

more leg room, but the seat is narrow...the same width as economy class. I am not a big guy and felt tight sitting in that premium seat. I prefer EVA or ANA or Japan Airlines if you travel across the pacific ocean.

I love Singapore airline and always fly with them. I also always fly economy, and was wondering what is the difference between premium. From this clip I can say it’s not much. The menu seems more or less the same. Maybe som inches of seat space?? Is it worth the difference in price?? If I had the money I would go only in top cabin!! Only there one can really appreciate luxury in the sky. One day!!
