I guess you get this question all the time, but how does this work with the legal limits in the UK? I consider myself to be a sensible rider, I think I would only use the extra power up hills, but I guess I am in trouble if I get stopped by the police? I am thinking a radpower with an eggrider might be a better choice for this reason?

Our ebikes are EAPC compliant. The speed, power and throttle are settings within the display. For use on road, you need to limit the speed to 25 kph (15mph) and the power to 5 amps (roughly 240w) and the throttle should be disabled. Off road, you can change these settings to suit. Changing the settings takes about 30 to 60 seconds.

@@BigGameBikes ok thanks. As I understand it the eggrider has a quick push profile setting. Is it compatible with this bike?

@@fraserp2377 the eggrider is not compatible with the BGB Impala. There is no need for the eggrider since the S2 display we use offers similar functionality. The eggrider allows you to access and change settings but since you can do this directly via the display the eggrider would be redundant on the BGB Impala 👍

@@BigGameBikes thanks, I understand where you are coming from, maybe I am over thinking it. I am just a bit concerned about being stopped and checked, but I have no idea how common this is as I have not owned an ebike before. I doubt I would have the luxury of 30 seconds in this scenario.

@@fraserp2377 you should always ride your bike within the law. So ensure you're setup before you head out 👍

Is the screen easily removed or at all? Just wondering as it looks really stealable.
@BigGameBikes2 жыл бұрын
The screen is not removable. Not many ebikes have that option as over time, reconnecting the screen will wear out the connector. Someone is more likely to steal the whole bike than just the screen.
