Setting nails doesn't have anything to do with cleaning hooves.

I don't understand.. where was the lesson? No commentary, no instructions, no reasons. Sir I imagine you are a professional and many can benefit from hearing from you. I have to admit also .. Seemed crude and bashing and unfinished compared to others.. pardon my harsh comments. Maybe I'm grumpy today. Any helpful video is appreciated as is yours.

My horse, Cricket, hated having her rear shoes messed with. She always starts leaning on you more an more, trying to get you to stop messing with her hooves. 13 of my HS class mates sat with 1000 guys induction center in Portland for military service in Vietnam. Several paid the ultimate price! One friend jumped on hand granade to save his Marine Corp buddies but he didn't die. Blast blew off one entire arm from his armpit. Blast blew off all finger but 2 in remaining hand. After years of care an 30 surgeries on his stomach, he had him parents drive him to my house asking to buy my horse his mom gets out first an asked my quietly to be strong! When I saw him, it took everything I had to not brust into tears! I loved my horse an she's not for sale but I'm giving her to you as I put her head lead rope in his 2 remaining fingers!

His hoof looks very flat with no definition between the outside & underside of the hoof & the frog is cut down to much so less cushion for the weight of the horse.

Ok i know this is going to be a really stupid question but i know horseshoes have been around for thousands of years, but who ever decided to make them and know how they would benefit a horse and why? Do they make a difference for their lives if they don't have them. Like I said I know it's a really dumb question 😅
@larrybrown6068 Жыл бұрын
It's not a dumb question! The first people to use metal shoes on their horses were the Romans, when they found that the surfaces in other countries wore hooves away too fast and caused their horses to go lame.
@starryadventure8922 Жыл бұрын
@larrybrown6068 oh wow so it keeps their hoofs from wearing down and not getting infected, and I'm guessing balance in case one wears
