@goonerfanatic1709
@goonerfanatic1709 Ай бұрын
I don’t think that’s possible. Anyone that comes in as a back up for saka knows they’re not playing ahead of him. That’s why you’ll never see us bring in a back up for the likes or rice, Odegaard, Saliba etc. because they are so integral to the team, the player coming in knows he’ll barely play. That’s why bringing players in who can play in multiple positions is so effective because they have a lot of choices in terms of positions to play in. Aka, more chance of first team football

You would have thought after his poor season and being left out of the England squad, this season, he would have the drive and hunger. He's to blame but does the culture and the standards surrounding him for so long share in that blame.

@@RubenDiasMasterclass a million percent. It’s not just him. United have had a poisonous culture at the club since Fergie left. But if that’s the case he should have been fighting tooth and nail to leave. By staying, he’ll always be part of the problem. But, he needs to take a huge chunk of the blame as well. He might wonder why he gets singled out so much, but it’s because his potential and ceiling is just too big. He has to be judged on that.

Douglas Luiz will be a miss,but we needed to balance our accounts & he wanted a new challenge anyway, Diaby we can do without. Last season we had a lot of injuries that hardly got a mention,a lot of those players have come back & we've added 8,so we're in much better shape. Unai Emery ain't going anywhere whatever happens & signed a new 5 year deal at the end of the season, we're happy enough to get a European place, qualification for the champions league was well ahead of schedule,but playing 14 games in Europe last season was good practice heading in to this campaign, expectations aren't really high at Villa & we're happy with the way things are going & enjoying the ride..... up the fuck'in Villa!!! 😊

You are bang on mostly for a non NUFC fan, I think you are wrong about LB as Hall really showed quality towards the end of the season. If we sign Guehi and an RW we should have a good season. I'd be over the moon with 5th. If Arsenal signed Isak though you would win the league. We wont sell him though for a price you would pay. All you are missing is a true goalscorer. Excellent appraisal of NUFC team though.

Hall is LB, Tripps is RB. If Tripps goes Tino will be fist choice RB and we'll either bring in a back up RB or trust Krafth. Cover at full back is maybe needed - Kelly and Burn can both do LB as well as Hall I guess. And Targett is still about but I reckon he might be loaned out. Also dont think Barnes and Gordon will both start many games, both are best on the LW so I think we'll sign a new left footed RW.

I think lots of people are expecting us to have a similar season to Newcastle last year. I think having Emery in charge will be the difference maker for us though. He has much more experience of balancing a European campaign alongside a domestic one. Sad to see Douglas Luiz go, quality player. We have proved we can cope without him though. Like when we played McGinn and Tielemans as the double pivot at The Emirates.

Take that game at the emirates for example. First half we actually played pretty well, but what you guys did to us in the second half was mind blowing. I’ve not a seen a team do that to us at home before. It wasn’t us playing badly either, we were just blown away, we couldn’t get the ball. Performances like that were why you managed to do it. Emery and Villa are an amazing fit and I hope we’re wrong and that Villa do manage to stay in the top 4 next year, I like seeing the uniteds, spurs, Chelseas of this world fall short. It’s worth repeating that Conor Gallagher has a wonderful attitude. His performances for Charlton, Swansea, West Brom and crystal palace were outstanding. Those performances proved he deserved the right to an opportunity at Chelsea. But after two years playing for the club, he’s proved to not be at the level Chelsea require. He should be proud of the ability he has because to be a top player for a club like Crystal Palace is outstanding and I wish I had 1% of the ability he has But, Chelsea is a step too far and that’s nothing to be ashamed of…

We all are going to be there. Let's see what the season has in store. Like you mentioned we definitely have a good manager and I believe we are building a good squad as well. At the end of the day, its all about what is done and the talk comes later. I see everyone wanting tottenham to fall off a cliff, which I would wager won't happen this season. Yes, our high line is naive, our players are average, our team has not won anything, but we will come through at some point and I believe the manager to do exactly that. He is a seasoned professional and has seen many such instances and has made good on many teams and leagues. I hoping he would do that again.

You, yes you "Gooner Fanatic", have to be very careful with how you see the world. Otherwise you will make very poor choices and live to regret it. The choice in question here is a nothing one, it means nothing because anything you say is irrelevant, but when you make more consequential decisions and choices based on your way of operating here you will end up losing in life. If you make decisions based on your biases there is a chance you will lose 80% of the time. Look up Pareto's Principle.

I know there are few things we are comfortably missing about a few things. I would like to let you know, that these are facts and not saltiness. 1.The injuries and suspensions that happened at the worst possible space. You guys just had one injury to your CB and bottled a 12 point lead, so we know what would happen when key players are injured. 2. First season of football under ange, so the team will only get better at playing it. I agree we might finish lower than 5th, but even in the wee end of last season, no one felt bad about getting beat, more about how we go beat. We didn't play Ange ball, we were playing Conte ball at times. 3. Youth players are not going to cut it. So can you tell me who are your key players? Saka? Saliba? who are they, 20 year experienced players? So yea we might finish worse than 5th, but if the football is good then we have time to build. So before you go worrying about Spurs. Just wonder where would you guys finish if you lose Saka and Saliba for a few weeks. Ponder on that and sleep over it.

@@kewlol123 Blah blah blah excuses excuses excuses. That’s all I’m hearing. Everyone gets injuries. Newcastle had tons of injuries, why is it they recouped more points than you guys in 2024?And that was with a few average players still at the club juggling around champions league football This a neutral opinion. Believe me if it wasn’t, there’s a whole load of other insults I could throw at you guys that are a million times worse than what I’m saying. Of course you didn’t mind getting beat towards the end of last, your fans were even cheering you to lose a certain game. Correction, it was an 8 point lead after beating you guys in January 2023, not 12, we never had a 12 point lead that season. And it was only 8 points for a a fortnight before we lost to Everton. For the majority of the season it was either 5 points ahead or 3. So if you’re gonna slander arsenal in a Tottenham video, get your facts right. And that was a season where we weren’t even expecting to be top for so long before the season started. The goal was top 4. Not to mention we lost out to the treble winners. But again this about Tottenham, not arsenal. Anyway, yes to answer your question. 18 year old kids won’t cut it when you have holes in the first team, and your goals are 5th and above. Arsenal could bring saka Martinelli smith Rowe etc into the team at a young age because we had finished 8th twice in a row. The goals were different. As soon as we finished 5th after the 8th season, in came zinchenko and Jesus, some experience to help the likes of Saliba saka, Martinelli Odegaard who were still quite young. Odegaard wasn’t as young but you get the idea. Your anger shouldn’t be with me, it should be with levy. I know I’m right. And if levy doesn’t hurry up, it’ll be confirmed and you won’t be finishing 5th and above. Which I see you’ve agreed with. But unfortunately, you’ll be back at square one. Like ten hag now… This isn’t a bias “I support arsenal I hate Tottenham” video I was incredibly complimentary of you guys last year. I love your Manager. So buy some bloody players! I agree, in the long run it will be, but for next season it won’t be and fans are fickle. They’ll see spurs finish worse in the table than last season and won’t be happy with it. Ange certainly won’t either. If you could swap this years transfer window with last season, that would make more sense to me. Buy the young kids, then a year later, you bring in your Maddison, vicario, van Der ven, Johnson etc
