Hi. This is wonderful. How long will this last like this. Do i need to leave the rings on for storage?
@theyounghomesteader8786 Жыл бұрын
Hello. I just opened a jar that I sealed in 2019, and it was still as fresh as the day I closed it up. My house doesn't have a lot of storage, so I usually leave the rings on the jars, loosening them just a little.
@Butterflys3436 Жыл бұрын
Thank you I had not thought to vacuum seal the packages ❤

You are very welcome. When we store something like this, and we are not going to use it for a while, we reseal the bag, and store it in the freezer, which gives it a longer usage. Thanks for watching. 😊

Yes, the veterans always look forward to what we bring next. In fact, last year we made lap blankets, and one man was upset that he didn't receive one. He told his family "Go see where my blanket is." Thankfully, they had one for him, it just hadn't been presented yet. He was thrilled when he finally received it.

Do you water can raw carrots? Do you add vinegar? New to canning. Australia.
@theyounghomesteader8786 Жыл бұрын
Yes, it is possible to water can raw carrots from the garden. Also, the ones done in this video were raw carrots from the store. You can add vinegar, but not to much, as the carrots will take on the vinegary taste. Hope this helps. 😊
