Corbels: I use a steam box to put them in and it removes all the paint. Replacement windows: Are a scam, I always restore original windows or if they are gone completely? There are plenty of people who can build new sashes. In spite of all the claims and warrantees ? You will never recover the cost of them in your lifetime.

So happy to see the windows going in and siding going on, finally! The siding guys seem like they have a great vibe. I'm really confused about the product and expectations for that lead abatement that Lindsey was trying on those corbels though. If you don't remove the lead, of course a lead tester is still going to find it! Applying something that binds to it is not going to make it not exist anymore... but you could have just painted over them if you wanted to keep them--applying new paint is an effective and in most places code-compliant way to deal with something that has lead paint on it. I was also surprised to see you threw them ALL away rather than keep one for a template for the new ones, but maybe you kept one off screen for that?

Good choices on the paint colors. I am disappointed with the stripper! I planned to use that product for my own lead painted house next summer. Good to know its a scam. When in doubt throw it out.
