This song reminds me of my childhood, when I was 12 years old. I was in love with a girl of my age, who was also in love, but I didn't know her name. We would only see each other from afar in the schoolyard. I wondered how I could find out her name. One day, I saw her in the yard, lined up with the students in her class. She was at the very end of the line, just like in the song, dressed in a raincoat or a long coat, and she had her head down. She seemed weighed down by an immense sadness, the cause of which I didn't know. I could only see her from behind. That's when a supervisor, who was standing right in front of her and could see her face, saw her in this state of dejection, and she wanted to cheer her up by calling her name loudly. She shouted "Carole", which didn't make Carole look up, but which had the advantage of finally telling me the name of the girl with whom I had been living an intense love since the beginning of the school year. But why was she so sad? In September, she was changing schools, it was June, and she had just learned the news of this upcoming separation. She had just seen me in the yard, and the pain of the impending separation made her take this sorrowful pose. I didn't know why she was so sad, I was just happy to know her name without suspecting that what was making me know it was precisely what was going to separate us forever..."

Paul’s genius ran deep but his songs of loneliness and quiet desperation are in my mind unequaled in the world of music. Yesterday, for no one, every night ,Eleanore Rigby, and this song are on my go to sleep playlist.

Missing link between glam rock and uk punk, the boot boy generation of the mid 70s. Punk didn't come out of a vacuum, there was an attitude growing. Steve Jones of the Pistols had more in common with these type of guys and Dead End Kids than any New York middle class arty types and their poetry, new wave or minimalist rock n roll

Angel Station is one ofy favourite album, I had heard Joybringer single on the radio and a friend made a cassette of Angel Station for me and I was hooked, needless to say a vinyl copy was bought then the CD along with a host of wonderful MMEB albums, have caught them live in later years and never failed to please. For me, still one of the best albums I have.
