@DanielRailways the newer trains have locomotives too, but they’re made by Siemens a German railway company. Also the newer trains have cab cars just like Go trains and in one direction the locomotive leads and the other way the cab car leads with the locomotive pushing in the back

Oh that’s for railway safety reasons. They all have to do that at a railway crossing. The good thing about this one is it’s a horn zone for trains. But King City township as far as I know has banned the horn use in mid 2024 at about 3 of their rail crossings including the one at the King City Station

Thanks. Well it’s not rare. There’s only a few a day going that way. Also there’s not that much bus service either going that way towards Barrie I think like every 2 hours. So you kinda pretty much need a car to get to Barrie depending how much time you’ll be spending there. It’s currently pretty hard to get that way without a car

Which bus do you usually take to get to Newmarket? The Go or the local YRT? There’s the Viva Blue rapid bus that will take you directly from the subway at Finch Station to Newmarket Terminal, but it just takes much longer than using the Go

No unfortunately just a Go station. The UP express train only runs between Union Station and Pearson Airport along the Weston Subdivision

Oh I been there before to fan. It’s a beautiful station especially with the upgrades with the new second platform and track, which I believe soon the second track should be ready for northbound trains

I know, it’s probably likely a little shorter if you catch the Up express train at Bloor Station, but it is a little more expensive because of there still being double fares between the Up and the TTC

Yes that’s right. That’s the plan. The new northernmost station on line 1 will be called High Tech connecting with Langstaff Go Station. Hopefully they expand the Richmond Hill line in some way because it and the Milton Line are still peak commuter rail lines only

I know it’s a very long street. You can drive pretty far west on it. It got its name from the Dundas Valley conservation area in Hamilton basically
