I wonder if this projector is ok to use with UK power mains, given the UK is 230 volts 50Hz and the USA is 120 volts 60 Hz.

I assume the Magic Mirror mode is for the accessory they sell so can wall mount it pointing up into a mirror which reflects it onto the screen.

I have found that you REALLY need to dial in your settings via the Personal Options. (The blue plastic around the lens aperture has nothing to due with the blue tint. This is more likely a sideffect of using RGB LEDs which will tend toward cool blue if not calibrated carefully/are cheap.) This is almost impossible using any of the internal playback tools because you can't have the adjustments up while something is playing. You can, however, make adjustments when using an external HDMI source. These were my settings that worked for internal and external. Although, I wouldn't even bother with the internal playback as the hardware decoding is pretty much garbage all the way around. External HDMI (MacBook Pro) Brightness 70 Contrast 45 Saturation 40 Sharpness 0 Hue 50 Red 80 Green 46 Blue 30 Internal Playback Brightness 90 Contrast 40 Saturation 40 Sharpness 0 Hue 45 Red 60 Green 30 Blue 20

Used my "APEMAN LC650 True 1080 Projector" a few times, i really like it, with it's softer image, and the contrast is good for an LCD, i prefer it to my 3 DLP's, 2 died, , , i'm using an 8ft throw, but i have noticed that when i connect a USB drive and play movies that way , the GPU struggles and it drops a few frames here and there, it is worse when there is a full screen pan, the scrolling end titles judder BAD !!, , , , Now using my 3mtr HDMI cable with the LC650 , No dropped frames, works perfect !! I am using my Acer 1080 laptop to play the videos through HDMI, i use VLC but also like MPC-HC (Media Player Classic), because it has a 20 second buffer, and am using it with +15 contrast that works perfect with the LC650 Do not get a DLP projector, , ,they may last a few hundred hours, but they will die !!, , the 1080 2x3 cm DMD chip has 2,073,600 microscopic wibbly wobbly square shaped mirrors that pivot, because they are physical moving parts, they fail dramaticly, , thousands of dead pixels, , ,also with my Optoma DLP, when i dart my eyes left and right, there are RGB vertical striped line artifacts - USELESS !! when you view a 72" display at 5 meters, 1080 will look the same as a 720, because of what the eye can resolve at that distance, , that goes for 4K aswell, there is an optimum distance for each resolution, if you go beyond it, the res will go down

Could you possibly tell which type of external battery pack you are using? I think that it should have a USB C output of at least 60 Watts and that's a little hard to find, since most online vendors either do not specify the wattage or it is too low (ca 30 Watts, at best)!

Is there any lag when connecting a Bluetooth speaker to this projector? I have an old xiaomi projector and can’t use my Bluetooth speaker with it because of the lag.

any issues with dmd white or dead pixels?

Was researching some solutions for the blue plastic surrounding the lens, and came upon either white foil tape (can tolerate 200+ degrees) or white mastic sealant, which dries hard. Maybe give the white foil tape a go and let us know? :)

So could you try covering the blue frame with black tape?)

My advice on this Chinese projectors you can try to set aspect ratio to "point to point" that way it bypass "projector enhancements" and you can get better picture... for example i have Elephas q9 and difference between point to point or any other aspect ratio mode is huge! day - night different colors are natural and in general picture is better more what it should be...

does it have lens memory for 2.35 aspec ratio shift?

Reason why your focus is out at top or bottom is because your keystone is out, look at the sides of the screen.

On full brightness I personally find the fan noise to be far too loud. Luckily I only use the projector in the evening and I find full brightness to actually be too bright for night viewing. So I use eco-mode and I find that to be perfect for both image and noise level.

the image looks so washed out... my aaxa p7 from 3 years ago costs less than half the price of the samsung projector, and yet the image is a lot sharper and brighter.
