That’s a good idea. I never thought about that.. the only downside that I can see is being outside the wings will get rusty and might not work eventually.

Suggestion if you plan to install the cleat wall in one piece. Cut the bottom of your plywood wall at 45 degrees. Install a leveling cleat on your 2 x 4s. Rest the wall in the cleat then nail it. Use the resting cleat for more walls.

I have a table with a 16 inch diameter cut-out (for a sink). Will that be large enough to fit the grill through?

I will say 22” by 32” so you have enough space next the grill to prepare or cut the meat.

Thanks for posting. I ended up building this cart to accommodate my 24" diameter kamado in redwood & doug fir. I beefed up the bottom shelf to support to heavier grill.
