Thank you for this video strangely enough my temper one side is on the main and the return site is just left completely open so all the hot air stays in the furnace room. What do you think could be done to fix the issue? Can I reuse this hot air and distributed in the basement.

You don’t have to cut a new 1 , you could just weld the crack that it makes when over expanding the aluminum

I've only had to diagnose and replace damper motors, but its always seemed inconvenient when these systems come to end of life and have to be replaced. They are also expensive to install. I've only seen these systems in north carolina, i havent seen dampers in south Florida. Would there be a reason not to use dampers when youre working exclusively in an environment as hot as miami ? Are zoning controls something that can be sold to homeowners here or are there reasons this systems arent frequently used here?
