Strange year around our farm in Dodge Center. We lost some acres when they flooded in the spring, then the rest of the crop pretty much shriveled up later in the year due to lack of moisture.

With a yield monitor you need to set the top gap to 3/4" with the adjusting bolts then adjust the elevator chain tension from the bottom. We didn't know that and tighten it like you did and wore out the top deflector plate. We had a retired Case IH mechanic come out and replace our elevator chain, sprockets & deflector plate. The adjuster wasn't level so the paddles shifted the grain to the right side and wore the side plate through (a lot of work to replace).

i think these companies put a decent grinders on expensive models and cheap grinders on the smaller models so they can make more profit. They can put the grinders that work on the smaller models but wont.

yikes. correct crop for correct ground. no till. at the very least the field will flush less topsoil but at the same time. such a bad idea this hyper push towards tiling. it's normally a sign you need to no till a field and get some herds on it. recover it instead of tilling it and what not.

Most of the videos I see of tile are of the elimination of standing water on the top. So, don't give me the sermon that it is only for the water table rising. Not to mention that I want that water table to be as high as possible going into July-August.
