@@ervinstjean3496 no. Running a 40 has nothing to do with break away speed. You can have a great start and run a good 40. I know people that run 4.3 but run 11.4 and I’ve seen people that run 4.7 but run 10.6 in the 100. Have you seen how many times that man got caught from behind?

@@ervinstjean3496 40 isnt a true testament of speed. It’s mostly good technique and acceleration. A a flying 40 would be more accurate

DUPREE WAS DIFFERENT

I saw all three run in college and the pro level. Dupree and Herschel started in the USFL. Walker had the heart of lion 🦁. If I were going to start a team , I would pick BO. The short time he played in the NFL , he was the most feared rusher at that time, just ask the Cincinnati Bengals DBs 😂😂and Bosworth😂

Physically he was a cross between Jim Brown and Herschel Walker. Mentally he struggled in life. What could have been? Rare talent. God has a path for everyone.

Marcus didn't love playing football. What happened after the Nebraska game in his freshman year reflects that. If you haven't, watch his ESPN 30 for 30. Bo and Herschel did love playing sports and had much better careers. By the way, add Eric Dickerson to this group during the era.

He got burned out from all the attention. By my senior year I had little joy in sports anymore and just went through the motions. I wasn't recruited at all and can only imagine what he went through. These kids are pushed way too hard now of days and that's a shame to me

If I had my choice it would be Walker. More durable. Not as quick as Bo but faster breakaway speed and a better goal line threat. Walker was the most physical and wore down defenses faster than both because he could carry 40 balls in a game. Dupree was beautiful to watch.
