No offence mate- but denying this sort of behaviour is part of the problem. People who pull crap like this should not be on the road period, especially since the driver of this vehicle was using false plates on their trailer- linked to a Subaru. Drivers who ignore this sort of behaviour or in fact encourage it are also part of the problem.

@@BadDrivingHabitsOfAustralianot really, he had to be in the right lane because he was turning right. You should let him in without incident, not beep your horn and accelerate. Running the red light yeah he shouldn't have done that

If you need a signal to see someone changing lanes, you are an extremely bad driver! What you might complain about is an "unsafe lane change" or however you call it. That has nothing to do with signaling... Like I always hear people say "Hey, that dude cut me up badly and almost caused an accident, which could have cost me my life - but he signaled it, so it is totally fine for me!" Monkey, get your license...
@therealnmg

Well atleast when they signal you know which lane they're taking, unless person doesn't know how to use their turn signals.
@BadDrivingHabitsOfAustralia

Well signalling is important when it comes to lane changing. It allows other drivers to know your intentions. Here traffic is going pretty slow, but if this was on a road with a higher speed limit or the flow was continuous it would be a problem.

@@BadDrivingHabitsOfAustralia Just heard on the radio today. The government says they aim to have zero road toll by 2050! What stupid comment is that! The way we conduct ourselves on the road as you and I have seen on the video, do you think that will happen? But they didn’t say how they are going to achieve that. Are we going to be force to buy automated car with all the technology put in it such as anti-collision detection systems and what else. I certainly will not be able to afford that or will I be willing to. I think I’ll just move to the low tech country with palm trees and go fishing in the ocean than living in robot world.

I don't have a problem with this. Both vehicles kept to their respective lanes without crossing the lane devining lines. It's the initial lane arrows that are misleading.
@BadDrivingHabitsOfAustralia
@BadDrivingHabitsOfAustralia 11 ай бұрын
Yes and no, they made sure this intersection had only one right turn. So vehicles in the right lane can get over to the left lane to exit left towards the shopping centre. When drivers ignore that- it can lead to accidents and confusion. It’s really not the initial arrows that are the problem. It’s drivers who don’t understand how this intersection works. This intersection sadly is just intersection that many people don’t understand

Rules are you are crossing a line, you giveway. 1:57 this is not a zipper merge. Unfortunately you've got a selfish prick on your right who is pushing the issue. His angry response is a separate issue that would not have happened if you had followed the rules. Now I know a lot will say we need to be courteous on the road. However courtesy should never be expected as we all know a lot of people wont be. www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/safety-and-road-rules/road-rules/a-to-z-of-road-rules/give-way

You may need to re-sit your drivers test if you think it's okay. Speed signs reflect the maximum speed allowed, so you must travel at or below the speed shown- Not above. doesn't matter if its 85 or 82- as it counts as low-grade speeding.

The tailgator should't have been in that lane either. Its a BULLSh#t excuse to justify a dangerous driving behaviour. You can use either lane as it help to avoid getting stuck behind slow merging traffic, or sometimes traffic other lanes can be slower. Tailgators are power trippers simply wanting to make people move out of their way.

Seems that STOP sign in Riddells Creek is a waste of time. Unless you have cameras recording everything you'll never get folks to stop there, especially, if there is no traffic on the intersection and it is safely clear of vehicles, which is what an intersection is all about, and from all the videos you have of this location it appears to be very quiet of traffic coming from other directions.

Ermmm, that driver at 1:50 did actually stop, you can see his brake lights come on and he is stationary, he didn't run the stop sign at all, get your facts right. I'm all for commenting on when motorists flount the law, but, you need to be careful when accusing drivers of doing something illegal, when they quite clearly didn't......
