I never said I recommend doing it this way. I said if you choose too do it this way then this is how. Also half these old explorers aren’t worth the time or the money to drop the tank. As for rusting you can spray undercoat on the metal then put ot back together. I doubt any water will get up there anyway. Simply a quick and easy way to fix a beater truck not a way to fix a mint show truck lol

@@MrPontgp Idk, I have an 05 and I'm dumping money into it regardless of what anyone says to make it go faster and quicker. And it's the 4.0l V6. Already have Headers, Intake, EGR Delete, Gearing, and next is complete ignition and then suspension. I'm willing to spend every penny I earn to do this because I like the truck and am keeping it forever till it's wrecked. but that's just me, same can be said about every single Silverado owner believing they have a Corvette motor even though it's 100% not. Besides, I hate seeing people trash reliable good trucks because something broke while mudding or racing on complete stock everything.

@@gabrieldziuba4486 it ended up being the theft ring sensor thing that is a plastic circle that loops around the key hole. Replaced it with a new one was easy.

Miguel Angel I folded it back down then I put a piece of aluminum over it with self tapping screws (in case I needed to ever change again) then I used spray adhesive on the carpet to get it to stay down

Carpet knife, carpet then wool insulation layer, on the passenger side it curves in where its double layer, utube video got me started, short but was enough

Did you ever figure it out? Sounds similar to my current problem. Few weeks ago I got the part he was talking about and it was working for awhile but now the they blinks, lights blink low, and now nothing else works in the car

@@greengatsby5829 I bypassed it by shorting the power wires under the dash that go to the alarm.

I researched for weeks and asked a bunch of ford guys. They all agree it's easier to fix the right way

I ask because today Auto zone asked me for the model number …… and I HAD NO IDEA WHAT IT WAS! (2.) How long did it take for you to receive your computer from "Flag Ship One?" (3.) What name or label should I call the computer is it engine computer or car computer or what?

@@internationalintellectcrow2865 it came pretty quick and it's called an ecm but you can call it the computer they know what you mean. I wanna say it took a week. Came with 2 programmed keys but I had to take keys to local hardware store with old key to have them cut. They charged me a dollar.

That is the website I purchased the ecm from engine control module/computer. The other part I bought straight from my local Ford dealer. I probably could have gotten it from Amazon cheaper but I thought it was cheap enough at the dealer and I had it some day.

ECM is what they call the computer. I ordered a new one from flagship one online pre programmed to my explorer with keys for $187. I agree. I think it's all for the money so you have to go to them to get programmed . They charge an arm and a leg to do that and I would have had to pay for a tow. Cheaper to order computer from flagship.

A grinder with a cutting wheel on it . Grinder was 10 dollars at harbor freight and they had the cutting wheels for 2 dollars
